I enjoyed this video because this woman was very excited about her field of study. She really gets into it.
  •
    yah- cool shirt
  •
Her story is similar to mine in that I was already on a career track, but now switching to Game Design. Hopefully I will be as passionate about the field as she is.
  •
I enjoyed this video. Its one of several videos I watched a few months ago when I enrolled in the Game Design program and began researching what game design was all about. The block out phase provoked me to have a flash back of my Army days. There was a time or two where I spent my entire 12 hour shift making blocked out designs. Now I just need to play more games. :)

Kim really makes me excited to know that what I am pursuing in Game Design is everything I expected it to be and more.
  •
This would be perfect if it was subtitled.
  •
This is a great video i liked it for my profession.

This is a big database of awesome knowledge! If you go to the right of the page you'll see a pink link that says "all topics", you can filter the videos to start to narrow down to what you need for this assignment, which admittedly might not help much since the terms are somewhat "team building business-y". Or, you can try going up to the top right where the magnifying glass icon is and doing a search for your degree and from there filter it further by videos. You may also want to hang onto this website for other assignments like 2.1 Industry Growth or even 3.0 Networking Plan (events, mentors, etc.). "The 99U provides actionable insights on productivity, organization, and leadership to help creatives people push ideas forward."

This guy has a with words, seems like he would have been a "Revenge of the Nerds" character. His concepts on freelancing and his way with words make more a fluid downloading experience. Skadoosh.

Paul Debevec: Animating a photo-real digital face - 992 views

cool technology- interesting to myself as i have sculpted a head once from clay and could relate that experience.
  •
Reminds me of Autodesk software: 123 where one takes pictures and creates 3D models from it. Except I'd love to be able to have this technology- we're getting so close to creating something real! It's amazing!

Julian Treasure: The 4 ways sound affects us - 281 views

  •
In the beginning of the video, Julian stated he was going to transform our relationship with sound. He did just that. He gave observations of many different situations on when, and where sound can affect us. It may dull, or heighten our moods everyday. This is because, it manipulates different parts of the brain. Also, using sound for marketing, movies, commercials, and such could have a negative sales drop if not used carefully.

John Maeda: How art, technology and design inform creative leaders - 467 views

  •
I love John Maeda's outlook on Design and Technology. He proves, and shows that everything new and old must be formed to make "good" in the art, and design industry. What I found most interesting is that he showed his previous work he created while a part of MTI. While they may seem outdated now, they are near the base of where design has stemmed from.
