NEARLY seven in every 10 Australians have fallen victim to cyber crime, according to a worldwide Norton Cybercrime Report: The Human Aspect, which found an alarming number of internet users are exposed to online crime. Sexual predators, online credit card fraud and crimes involving social networking together account for seven per cent of cyber crime worldwide. Viruses and malware make up 51 per cent of online crime and phishing accounts for nine per cent.

The problem isn't that Silicon Valley is keeping women down, or not doing enough to encourage female entrepreneurs. The opposite is true. No, the problem is that not enough women want to become entrepreneurs.

The next question is what can be done to encourage women to become entrepreneurs?

We have been spending some time with my Dad who has been visiting us from Australia. During his stay with us I realised, more than usual, how the internet makes no impact on his life. It led me to think through the behaviours that many of us have grown accustomed to.

"But while we may not recall our nocturnal visions, scientists increasingly believe our dreams play an important role in memory and learning. And what we remember or learn varies throughout the sleep cycle."
