  When I think of the people in Haiti I think about how fortunate I am to live in a society where opportunities are thrown at me everyday. The things people take for granted in my society are the same materials people long for in other countries around the world. It motivates me to seek these opportunities and use them to help me excel in life to my definition of successful. I also think about how sad it is to hear that a country that was already in need of a helping hand was hit with something so destructive that it would leave hundreds of thousands dead and many injured. I wonder how it is possible for something so terrible to happen.
  
  Questions:
  1. How is it that these natural disasters continue to occur in Haiti?
  2. How long before people can start letting their families know around the world that they're ok?
  3. How much aid will it take to get this country back on their feet?
