I think that the earthquake in Haiti is something that was unexpected by many people and it is a great tragedy that there should be more help than there is right now. But there is one thing that most people are not getting is how other Caribbean islands are feeling by this resent tragedy and there was real fear that there was going to be a tsunami that accrued next since the earthquake was so strong and there were many after shocks. But after this there may be a mass movement in immigration of Haitians to other countries after this earthquake it not that the people of these islands don't want to help there is a lot of animosity between these countries.

Many of these countries have donated to these countries with food water and other aid. But there is a great question of whether or not to let them immigrate to their countries. For many years there has been illegal immigration from Jamaica and Haiti to other Caribbean countries and even if they come over there legally there is a increase in crime when they come to our country. There is also the issue of race I know that majority that of the countries are black but there is such a thing in the Caribbean as racism. Especially in the Dominican Republic. Even though they share the same island the island of Hispaniola but for many years there has been animosity between the two countries especially because the DR believes that the Haitians are too black and dark and they don't want them coming in there country and Haitians don't like them because there racist.

But I believe this earthquake might be the catapult that will bring all the Caribbean countries together yes there will be some resistance with some government resistance in some countries but that may not last long because when the earthquake hit Haiti the rest of the Caribbean island saw how quick Haiti could have been them.

    Questions:
1.Why isn't the United Nations leading the aid efforts for Haiti?
2.What are the United States real motives for really helping so much in Haiti?
    3. With all these earthquakes accruing what is the fate of all the other Caribbean nations?
    4. Could the next earthquake turn into a tsunami?
    5. What would be the outcome of Haiti in the on coming years?
