Heidi Kuhn founded Roots of Peace in 1997 to help remove landmines in war-torn nations. Her organization has taken out 100,000 landmines from countries, such as Palestine, Israel, Afghanistan, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovena, Angola, and Cambodia. They have also transformed the lives of landmine victims by giving them a decent source of living. In Afghanistan, Roots of Peace has helped 10,000 farmers who are now happily growing fruits on the once dreaded landmine zone.

Royalty free usable photographs - top part require payment, bottom ones are usable in projects and presentation. Seem pretty decent quality.

If you weren't aware, Google have created their own virtual learning environment called Google Classroom. It's a decent VLE, with a number of useful features. So far, so good!

Oldie but a decent one from the government for images and pictures. Remember that with most government sites you are free to use the pictures but some such as NASA do require that you cite the source.
