Liverpool 4 - Arsenal 4 Premier League, April 21, 2009 Liverpool looked threatening early doors against an Arsenal side decked out in their replica '89 shirts, Lukasz Fabianski saved well from Torres just before the twenty minute mark. Ten minutes before the break Mascherano paid a heavy price for being caught in possession, Nasri played in Fabregas who squared the ball for Andrei Arshavin to finish off the bar to put the Gunners into the lead. Two minutes later it was 3-3, Fernando Torres turning Silvestre to level the game yet again. An incredible match still had two late goals to lend it legendary status, first Arshavin bagged his fourth after good work by Walcott only for Liverpool to equalise in injury-time with a close-range effort from Benayoun.

Trochowski capped a fine performance sending in a low cross from the left that Jose Paolo Guerrro, unmarked, steered into the roof of the net for the Germans' third.
