" the quote i chose is basically saying we as a society are a judgmental people and whatever it is we have a opinion on everything. i think this is very crucial because it will hopefully open our eyes and its make me wonder will we ever change

An article in the German magazine Der Spiegel places the Moon hoax in the context of other well-known 20th century conspiracy theories which it describes as "the rarified atmosphere of those myths in which Elvis is alive, John F. Kennedy fell victim to a conspiracy involving the Mafia and secret service agents, the Moon landing was staged in the Nevada desert, and Princess Diana was murdered by British intelligence."[41]

A 2000 poll conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Fund found that 28% do not believe that American astronauts have been on the Moon, and this percentage is roughly equal in all social-demographic groups.[

A number of different hoax claims have been advanced that involve conspiracy theories outlining concerted action by NASA employees, and sometimes others, to perpetuate false information about landings that never occurred, or to cover up accurate information about the landings that occurred in a different manner than have been publicized. Believers have focused on perceived gaps or inconsistencies in the historical record of the missions. The Flat Earth Society was one of the first organizations to accuse NASA of faking the landings, arguing that they were staged by Hollywood and based on a script by Arthur C. Clarke.[13]

Dr. David Williams (NASA archivist at Goddard Space Flight Center) and Apollo 11 flight director Eugene F. Kranz both acknowledged that the Apollo 11 telemetry data tapes are missing.

On November 1, 2006 Cosmos Magazine reported that some one-hundred data tapes recorded in Australia during the Apollo 11 mission had been discovered in a small marine science laboratory in the main physics building at the Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia. One of the old tapes has been sent to NASA for analysis. The slow-scan television images were not on the tape.[67] Britain's Sunday Express reported in late June 2009 that the missing tapes were found in storage facility in the basement of a building on a university campus in Perth, Australia.

The flag placed on the surface by the astronauts flapped despite there being no wind on the Moon.[citation needed] Sibrel said "The wind was probably caused by intense air-conditioning used to cool the astronauts in their lightened, uncirculated space suits. The cooling systems in the backpacks would have been removed to lighten the load not designed for Earth’s six times heavier gravity, otherwise they might have fallen over".

EWSIS multiple intelligences learning theory IQ

I'm learning more about the multiple intelligences right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: What do other people think of it? I was researching this question online, and this twitter post caught my attention because it was a person's simple opinion, not some long thought-out piece. "It is not how smart you are but how you are smart. That's the basic premise of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI)." The quote I chose here is basically saying that the intelligence is all about where you excel, not if you can. I think this is a perfect explanation because it's quick and from this person's own experiences. It makes me wonder if there is some truth to this theory despite some valid opposing views. I suppose it's all what you make out of it.

Help For Shopaholics Stop Compulsive Shopping - 0 views

Have you ever felt like you need to go shopping and shopping everyday until you brought everything you wanted? Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been Shopaholics. I remember seeing this movie last year that made me wonder about people who are Shopaholics. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that being Shopaholic is really bad because it damages your living style. From what I have heard, being Shopaholic isn't something bad. It's just a way of being. You just shop and shop. It's not like if you creating a crime. I know that it's like a sickness that can't make you stop. But if it's really affecting your life then you have to give that up. For example, I heard that Shopaholic is more like able to be out of control. Shopping does not only effect the shopper it also effects family members, spouses, loved ones and friends. Many times married over active spenders will be divorced and in debt before they can control their spending habits. Now that's just what I've heard, it may or may not be true. One thing that I know for sure about is that Shopaholics do suffer a lot when it comes to money. Many Shopaholics end up having a big amount of budget. And I also know that Compulsive shopping is a serious condition that affects thousands of people's lives in America. Another fact that I know is that one major key to successfully overcoming compulsive shopping is simply taking responsibility for ones own actions. Stop denying the problem and or blaming others. Shopaholics who truly want help need to say enough is enough. Once a shopaholic realizes that shopping is just not worth the troubles that are caused from shopping excessively things get much easier. Make the decision to change and change will come. Now I've studied my share of Philosophy, and I believe that if being a Shopaholic damages your life... then you should make a change to take that out of your life. Personally, it's funny to me

Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been Alcohol. I remember my Uncle drinking Beer at a party. And I remember him telling people that Beer is the best thing to drink. At that time, I didn't know what he meant by that. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that Alcohol is not really bad for men and women. From what I have heard, Alcohol is bad for people. For example, I heard that alcohol damages your body and brain. Now that's just what I've heard, it may or may not be true. One thing that I know for sure about Alcohol is that it's really harmful for Teenagers. Now I've studied my share of Medicine, and I believe that Alcohol is bad for everyone that drinks it every day in their life. It affects their brain and body. I also know that if your drink a lot of alcohol like beer, you have a great possibility of getting fat. And this is true because my Uncle got fat throughout time. And Why? Because he kept drinking beer. Personally, it's funny to me how people know the effects on alcohol and they keep on consuming it. Alcohol wasn't important to me in the past, because I'm not suppose to be learning about Alcohol when I'm only six years old. What I know about Alcohol is that it makes you act in a bad way. It damages your body. Alcohol makes you feel like in pain. Being that I didn't have a lot of background information on Alcohol, I chose to do some research on the topic. As I searched for blogs and news articles on Google, I came across this one article: http://howdoigetoffdrugs.com/2010/01/negative-effects-of-excessive-alcohol-consumption-on-the-body/. This article provided a lot of information and opinions on Alcohol .Some people felt that alcohol dependency is a chronic illness that can destroy a person's career and their family. It can also be fatal to their health if left untreated. And that substantial alcoholic substances drinking on a common basis causes chemical changes to a indi

Mobiles give Africa's farmers the chance to set out their stall | Katine | The Observer - 0 views

"A phone can be used to call for help in a medical emergency, find information about crop prices, enable cashless transactions and banking services, or simply save someone from making a long journey when the only option is to visit in person. Professor Jeffrey Sachs, a leading development economist and director of the Earth Institute, has said: "The cellphone is the single most transformative technology for development." This is interesting. I know that smart phones help give so much information now a days; its like having a laptop fit your pocket. Just pull it out and have information given to you by simply looking up what you need to know. This would seem great for farmers to have but given the prices of owning a cellphone and paying the rate plan is kind of expensive. Especially for farmers who are poor. In Africa, times are very tough and there is a lot of poverty over there. "Matthew Elesu, 27, wearing an Arsenal shirt, explains that he buys a car battery from the town of Soroti for 150,000 shillings (£48). The journey there and back costs 4,000 shillings (£1.28), four times what it was only a couple of years ago. Elesu then charges 400 shillings (13p) to charge a phone, which usually takes four hours. The margins are slight. "I make money, but only enough to buy some bread," he says." This shows how even cheap technology affects the money farmers could make. Its a cool idea to help farmers but in the end it does little to no effect in my opinion.

Global Warming - 0 views

I'm learning more about global warming right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: How to stop global warming? I was researching this question online, and this blog post caught my attention because this blog post tells you what you need to know about global warming to know how to prevent it from continuing. This post tells you what global warming is and the causes of global warming. This post is helpful and informational. "Most modern attention to the problem of global warming began with discussion of depletion of the Earth's Ozone layer. Ozone (O3) is a molecular form of Oxygen. The Ozone layer is a relatively thin strata of these molecules set in the lower portion of the Earth's stratosphere. Depletion of the Earth's Ozone layer has resulted in a large increase in Ultra Violet Radiation reaching the surface of the earth. Does this increase in UV rays equate to global warming? Not really. In fact most scientific opinion is that depletion of the Ozone layer results in cooling of both the stratosphere and troposphere. So why mention depletion of the Ozone layer as regards to global warming? Because it represents a needed balance between harmful radiation being allowed to reach the earth's surface and our desire to stem the rapid increase in our air and water temperature. Remember, we are viewing global warming as a chain of events." The quote I chose here is basically saying that people think the reduction of the Earth's Ozone layer is one cause of global warming. Ozone is a molecular form of Oxygen. The reduction of the Earth's Ozone layer resulted in an increase in Ultra Violet Radiation appearing on earth. I think global warming is a very important issue because global warming happens on earth and thats where we live. Global warming is not a positive issue but a negative one so I think we all should work together to find a solution to this problem if we want to save the place where we live on.

Mayans Upset at Blame for 2012. - 0 views

As I was searching for blogs about the 2012 Apocalypse, this site showed up. In this article, the Mayans are being blamed for "making the world end." There is no reason for the Mayans to be blamed for killing the human race and the world itself because all they did was prophesize and write down theories. In my opinion, don't hate one human race for killing the world that has already been to blame. At least this is what I am getting from the title itself.

We all have children and as parents ourselves, it's our worst nightmare for a child to go out and not come back home. We empathize with that greatly, so we are doing what we can to help find her. We are staying positive."

I'm learning more about Metallica's murder case right now, and in particular what I'm wondering is what Metallica's feelings about this is. I was researching the status of this online, and this article caught my attention because it was the first link on Google News. The caption mentioned band member Kirk Hammett's opinion on the matter, so I clicked on it since I was curious to his particular thoughts, knowing Kirk Hammett to be a more softer soul in the heavy metal band. "Last week, Metallica's Kirk Hammett spoke about Harrington's case. "We are staying positive that she will be found soon," he said. "We are all hoping for the best and praying for her and her family. However, Metallica is staying positive and optimistic that something positive will turn up.

Something that I have been interested in learning more about has been danger flowers. I remember my Science teacher in third grade talking about it I was very young, but I didn't really understand it because I was very young. Lately, the issue has caught my eye again. I know that many people feel that some flowers are very danger. From what I have heard, this is true. Some flowers are very danger and can harm you. For example, I heard that there is this specific flowers that can kill you if you touch it or eat it. Now that's just what I've heard, it may or may not be true. One thing that I know for sure is that some flowers are healthy and others are bad. Now I've studied my share of Environmental Science, and I believe that it's something that people should know just in case you don't know that some flowers are danger. Personally, it's funny to me how flowers that are mainly red are the ones who are poisen. This was immportant in the past because, back then there was many people dieing for strange reasons due to poisen flowers. What I know about this topic is that you should be very careful with kids because kids are the ones that usually pick flowers and sometimes end up eating it. The flower is the reproductive structure of angiosperms or flowering plants. Compared to the reproductive structures of other plants, the flower is unique in several ways. It consists of four kinds of modified leaves, two of which (stamens and carpels, the latter sometimes called pistils) bear pollen and seeds. According to the fossil record, flowering plants appeared only about 140 million years ago, although some recently found fossil evidence suggests that they appeared 80 million years before that. Being that I didn't have a lot of background information on danger flowers, I chose to do some research on the topic. As I searched for blogs and news articles on Google, I came across this one article: http://www.ansci.cornell.edu/plants/. This article provided a lot of info

In it, players design a character to play based on a number of starting options, such as the race of character and its type or class.
-
There are many games similar to this.. such as maple story, flyff, ragnorak... its nothing new. The only thing good about WoW is the graphics and the fact that they update the game every single week. I'm rather tired of kinds of games because all you do is level and fight. It got pretty boring to me.
-
its hard to find a mmorpg that doesnt have a character design feature unless it is really crappy or low quality even then its still hard to find one thats well known

Yeah I know what you mean ammy. At first I was addicted to MS but all i did was level and fight. It bored me.

Why is it so important to have a character design? I mean I get it when a person picks what character they want to be, but why do you need to pick the color of their hair, or race?

that's a weird name... I wonder what the meaning of it is, if there is any?

many MMORPG have their own world to draw players in. makes every game special in their own way

i think it is titled world of warcraft because this is an alternate world where people are learning the art of war, or how to make war/fight in wars.

Players can also participate in player versus player combat, either in large groups or small team matches.

Although it's in a fictional world, there are still realistic things, such as Halloween. This makes the game more attractive and interesting.

i agree with you,the game will following the real holiday and create some activitly or quest about the holiday.
-
Yea, I think when there's events like these, people get drawn in because they get rare items or whatever
-
I think that this is giving people a excuse to be anti social and have no life why talk to real people or go outside when there is a whole vertual reality the mirrors the real world.
-
I agree too. holidays always makes pepole happy and when there favorite holidays are in the game its more interesting.
-
But isn't one of the main attractions of video games to put people in an alternate world? I, in fact, don't think the game is very realistic. The whole idea of fantasy is what is so different from real world. I think that's what is most appealing.

I can't imagine someone getting so in to the game... but I guess it's fairly normal also. How do you do that? o_o

This sounded like Sims, but it would be interesting to have this combination of battle and civil life
-
People get addicted to a game. And when they are playing their favorite video games they have no idea about whats going on around them.

This does sound like Sims, however it is more fantasy. I guess it's what someone wants to get out of the game. I think that the idea of going on hunts and the whole monsters and dragons thing makes it very different than Sims.

As well as banding together to form groups, players can also band together to form guilds. These structures allow players several benefits, such as easier communication and an identifying guild name and tabard. Guild members can also be given access to a central pool of resources known as a guild bank.[13] Guilds can also make use of an in-game calendar, allowing guild members to view scheduled events, and respond to them with whether they can attend or not. This calendar can also be accessed without need to log-in to the game, using the Armory feature.[14]

Overall, I am very bored of this lesson and feel that this is pointless because I really don't care about the history or explanation of the "Gameplay of World of Warcraft." Plus, this game is rather boring and makes me not want to play. Great.

I agree. The game seems really confusing and pointless. I don't find it necessary to learn about a fantasy world that isn't really interesting or beneficial.

The ability for players to communicate with each other using voice chat was added some time after the release of the Burning Crusade expansion.

In a change from the previous Warcraft games produced by Blizzard, World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) where thousands of players can interact with each other. Despite this change, the game draws many similarities with its predecessors.

If you stop playing the game that you get experience points dont you have to play the game to get the points

I know!! That's the worst. You just want to give up halfway but if you do complete it, you get something good out of it.

Dont quests get boring after a period of time? The game designers or whatever you call them must come up with a lot of ideas if the quests are never ending.

However, most players prefer to use Ventrilo or Teamspeak, as they come with more customizable features and provide better sound quality than the voice service in-game.

a character may get attacked and killed by a creature, becoming a ghost at a nearby graveyard.

As well as being able to complete quests and enter dungeons, players can also fight against other players in the game.

When a character dies the items being carried degrade, requiring in-game money and a specialist NPC to repair them. Items that degrade heavily can become unusable until they are repaired.

These locations act in a similar way to dungeons or instances in that only a set number of characters can enter a single battleground, but additional copies of the battleground can be made to accommodate additional players.[34]

This added function brought the players more fun from making people network with each other. People can share their experience or ask others question while playing through this voice chat.

I think voice chat is awesome because you can continue to walk around without having ot stop and type. Its much easier to talk while you're hunting. many games have this feature right now which is awesome.

High end dungeons allow more players to group together and form a raid. These dungeons allow up to forty players to enter at a time in order to face some of the most difficult challenges.[33] In the Burning Crusade expansion the most common group sizes are ten and twenty-five,[32] based on the idea that these groups would be easier to fill and coordinate.[32] As well as dungeon-based raid challenges, several creatures exist in the normal game environment that are designed for raids to attack.[20][23] [edit]

Nursing ethics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 0 views
-
The nature of nursing means that nursing ethics tends to examine the ethics of caring rather than 'curing' by exploring the relationship between the nurse and the person in care.
-
The focus of nursing ethics is on developing a caring relationship
-
This is where information about the person is only shared with others after permission of the person, unless it is felt that the information must be shared to comply with a higher duty such as preserving life. [5].

Nursing ethics shares many principles with medical ethics, such as beneficence, non-maleficence and respect for autonomy
-
This is considered by its advocates to focus more on relationships than principles and therefore to reflect the caring relationship in nursing more accurately than other ethical views.
-
People are then enabled to make decisions about their own treatment.
-
I think that it's important for people to make their own decisions wether or not they want the treatment because, what if their family doesn't have enough mom to pay for it or they on't have insurance. Usually depending upon the situation like lets say if it's really bad then the person won't take the treatment if they are close to dying.
-
-
There is a balance between people having the information required to make an autonomous decision and, on the other hand, not being unnecessarily distressed by the truth.
-
This is because nursing theory seeks a collaborative relationship with the person in care.

Video game behavioral effects - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 0 views
-
From both a social and psychological standpoint, video games have the ability to influence their players both on implicit and explicit levels.
-
Research on aggressive behavior as an effect of playing violent video games began in the 1980s and 1990s and still continues today.
-
some researchers claim that these violent games may cause more intense feelings of aggression than nonviolent games, and may trigger feelings of anger and hostility. Several studies that have supported such findings.

The average gamer, far from being a teen, is actually a 35-year-old man who is overweight, aggressive, introverted — and often depressed, according to a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).[4]
-
Female video game characters are often hypersexualized and unrealistic,[8][9] and have been shown to play a factor in hard-core gamers’ perceptions of ideal beauty
-
This repetition of violence and reward system create a psychological effect on people telling them that violence is okay.
-
This addiction could lead to physical health problems, spending problems, and time displacement leading to missed work or school days. In one example, a 28 year old South Korean gamer died after 50 hours of StarCraft online gameplay.[12]
-
The rise in childhood obesity in the U.S. has raised awareness of media consumption in children.[citation needed] Not only are parents and organizations blaming the food industry for the problem, but they are turning to television and video games as a key factor. Displacement Theory supports the notion that the time that would normally be spent being active outdoors or in sports, children are now replacing with leisure and inactive time in front of the television.[citation needed] Others tend the blame the problem on parental enforcement.[citation needed]
-
Anderson and Bushman explain how violent video games promote violent behavior, attitudes and beliefs.
-
have written that video games are neither good or bad alone, because it all depends on the individual and the context they are played in.[18]
-
The interactive nature allows for high levels of entertainment, but has not yet been shown to subtract from the educational lessons being taught. Additionally, developers are beginning to change the view of traditional video games by creating popular games that require the player to be active -Wii Fit, Dance Dance Revolution- or focus on using brain power -Brain Age 2.
-
Many authors disagree with the notion that suggests that the media can cause violence, they think that media cannot cause violence because human can recognize what is wrong and what is right and people are not copycats
-
Journalist and author, David Sheff, believes that many skills can be learned from the gaming experience, it builds practical and intellectual skills,” by playing video games children gain problem solving abilities, perseverance, pattern recognition, hypothesis testing, estimating skills, inductive skills, resources management, logistics mapping, memory, quick thinking and reasonal judgements”. [26]
-
There are many positive effects of video games on some people as suggested by some researches; people play because they want to get away from their everyday life, break routine, to relive stress, allow them to cool off when they are stressful, could help people take out their anger through the game rather in real life because they are fun and interesting way to spend time. [25]
-
In research undertaken by Acta Psychologica, in a number of tasks, video game experts outperformed non-gamers. Experts were able to track objects moving at greater speeds, perform more accurately in a visual short-term memory test, switch between tasks more quickly, and make decisions about rotated objects more quickly and accurately.

Global warming - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 0 views
-
The most commonly discussed measure of global warming is the trend in globally averaged temperature near the Earth's surface.
-
An increase in global temperature will cause sea levels to rise and will change the amount and pattern of precipitation, probably including expansion of subtropical deserts.[7] The continuing retreat of glaciers, permafrost and sea ice is expected, with warming being strongest in the Arctic. Other likely effects include increases in the intensity of extreme weather events, species extinctions, and changes in agricultural yields.
-
Political and public debate continues regarding climate change, and what actions (if any) to take in response. The available options are mitigation to reduce further emissions; adaptation to reduce the damage caused by warming; and, more speculatively, geoengineering to reverse global warming. Most national governments have signed and ratified the Kyoto Protocol aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
-
Politics is making the Climate Chnge issue, unimportant, I beleive that Govermnets are just "selling their image", so they would look good. There are many, many policies pacts that have been made in order to "control Clmiate Change/ Global Warming". When will there be a policy that actually help the meniviroment?

Human activity since the Industrial Revolution has increased the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, leading to increased radiative forcing from CO2, methane, tropospheric ozone, CFCs and nitrous oxide. The concentrations of CO2 and methane have increased by 36% and 148% respectively since the mid-1700s.[23] These levels are much higher than at any time during the last 650,000 years, the period for which reliable data has been extracted from ice cores.[24] Less direct geological evidence indicates that CO2 values this high were last seen about 20 million years ago.[25] Fossil fuel burning has produced about three-quarters of the increase in CO2 from human activity over the past 20 years. Most of the rest is due to land-use change, particularly deforestation.[26]
-
If the atmosphere is warmed, the saturation vapor pressure increases, and the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere will tend to increase. Since water vapor is a greenhouse gas, the increase in water vapor content makes the atmosphere warm further; this warming causes the atmosphere to hold still more water vapor (a positive feedback), and so on until other processes stop the feedback loop
-
When ice melts, land or open water takes its place. Both land and open water are on average less reflective than ice and thus absorb more solar radiation. This causes more warming, which in turn causes more melting, and this cycle continues.
-
The Ice is melting. If you look at the The cold continent of Antartica, the ice caps are melting there. The North and the South Poles are melting. The sea levels are rising and inhabitants such as polar bears and Penguins are getting affected. The sea levels are afftecting Island Nations as well as sea bordering nations.

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. Global surface temperature increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) between the start and the end of the 20th century.
-
However, warming is expected to continue beyond 2100 even if emissions stop, because of the large heat capacity of the oceans and the long lifetime of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
-
Temperature changes vary over the globe. Since 1979, land temperatures have increased about twice as fast as ocean temperatures (0.25 °C per decade against 0.13 °C per decade).
-
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes that most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century was caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation.
-
The IPCC also concludes that variations in natural phenomena such as solar radiation and volcanoes produced most of the warming from pre-industrial times to 1950 and had a small cooling effect afterward.
-
The uncertainty in this estimate arises from the use of models with differing sensitivity to greenhouse gas concentrations and the use of differing estimates of future greenhouse gas emissions.
-
The greenhouse effect is the process by which absorption and emission of infrared radiation by gases in the atmosphere warm a planet's lower atmosphere and surface.
-
Clouds also affect the radiation balance, but they are composed of liquid water or ice and so are considered separately from water vapor and other gases.
-
Global dimming, a gradual reduction in the amount of global direct irradiance at the Earth's surface, has partially counteracted global warming from 1960 to the present.
-
Observations show that temperatures in the stratosphere have been steady or cooling since 1979, when satellite measurements became available.
-
Warming is expected to change the distribution and type of clouds. Seen from below, clouds emit infrared radiation back to the surface, and so exert a warming effect; seen from above, clouds reflect sunlight and emit infrared radiation to space, and so exert a cooling effect.

Measures including water conservation,[99] water rationing, adaptive agricultural practices,[100] construction of flood defences,[101] Martian colonization,[102] changes to medical care,[103] and interventions to protect threatened species[104] have all been suggested. A wide-ranging study of the possible opportunities for adaptation of infrastructure has been published by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.[
-
Geoengineering is the deliberate modification of Earth's natural environment on a large scale to suit human needs.[106] An example is greenhouse gas remediation, which removes greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, usually through carbon sequestration techniques such as carbon dioxide air capture.
-
In 2007–2008 Gallup Polls surveyed 127 countries. Over a third of the world's population were unaware of global warming, with developing countries less aware than developed, and Africa the least aware. Of those aware, Latin America leads in belief that temperature changes are a result of human activities while Africa, parts of Asia and the Middle East, and a few countries from the Former Soviet Union lead in the opposite belief.

Existentialism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - 0 views
-
A central proposition of existentialism is that existence precedes essence, which means that the actual life of the individual is what constitutes what could be called his or her "essence" instead of there being a predetermined essence that defines what it is to be a human. Thus, the human being - through his consciousness - creates his own values and determines a meaning to his life.[65]. Although it was Sartre who explicitly coined the phrase, similar notions can be found in the thought of many existentialist philosophers, from Kierkegaard to Heidegger.
-
This quote actually relates to my topic and My opinion differs. The quote says that existence precedes essence and that is true in physically and literally but in a spiritual sense, it is incorrect. This is due to the fact that like i said in my earlier paragraphs, you have your natural imaginary subtle thoughts then you have the physical ones that are manifested from those so "essence" infact precedes existence. Think about this, love is essence because it is an imaginary substance and that can sometimes lead to sexual intercourse with brings about something physical...a baby right? See so essence comes before existence or life for that matter.

Don't count Haiti out - latimes.com - 0 views

What an inspiring and historically grounded commentary: "The tragedy is tremendous and the threats to life ongoing in a situation in which the ground is still trembling and disease likely. But the capacity of this people for survival and, indeed, for greatness in the worst of conditions has been demonstrated for more than two centuries. These are the descendants of people who overthrew an indecent, inhuman, overpowering slave system. Many of those still alive grew up under a vicious dynasty and rose up to oust it. It's entirely likely, therefore, that Haitians once again will put together a national coumbite. With a huge humanitarian effort from their friends, they will rebuild the country -- for the better. The will must be there for the world to come to Haiti's aid and work with the millions of surviving Haitians to rebuild this valuable country. So many Haitians, including the president, have nowhere to sleep, but they will sleep and get up again tomorrow to face the troubles. "
