This is what we are starting to teach in 5th grade library as students prepare to begin a long research project.

Thank you Ruth! This article is just about what I am trying to do with my students for years! This is very motivating! I found out last year that linking evaluating and citing sources is a good think to keep students focused: they search the author, publisher etc... and evaluate at the same time. The link I used so far is not bad from 9 grade, but too difficult for the younger children. If you have a better one, let me know! Anyway, it is great to know that we are at the same page....
