The Internet Archive is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that was founded to build an Internet library. Its purposes include offering permanent access for researchers, historians, scholars, people with disabilities, and the general public to historical collections that exist in digital format. Founded in 1996 and located in San Francisco, the Archive has been receiving data donations from Alexa Internet and others. In late 1999, the organization started to grow to include more well-rounded collections. Now the Internet Archive includes texts, audio, moving images, and software as well as archived web pages in our collections, and provides specialized services for adaptive reading and information access for the blind and other persons with disabilities.

With Google Voice, learners can call in and leave messages that can be emailed, downloaded as .mp3 files, or embedded in web sites using the included html code. Basically, it's a way to create audio recordings, without the need for a computer or mic. Many classrooms and labs are set up with headsets with microphones or laptops with internal mics. Still, many are not. When you think about how many kids have the equipment at home, the chances are even lower. How many kids do you know that have access to a phone? Heck, many of them even have their own cell these days. Enter Google Voice. Let's roll with this and see what we can do.

Debatepedia is "the Wikipedia of pros and cons". Its mission is to "clarify public debates and improve decision-making globally". Debatepedia is a project of the International Debate Education Association (IDEA), a 501c3 non-profit. The table contains all the usual information you find in a periodic table of elements, but then under each element, it lists real-world items that contain that element. This opens up a new avenue of projects for Science teachers where students can not only learn the different elements, but then connect them to real world uses and even explore the method in which the element is applied. For example, assigning a student to report on radon, they'll see it's a key element in earthquake predictors.
