WSD Global Academy

The mission of the International Children's Digital Library Foundation (ICDL Foundation) is to support the world's children in becoming effective members of the global community - who exhibit tolerance and respect for diverse cultures, languages and ideas -- by making the best in children's literature available online free of charge. The Foundation pursues its vision by building a digital library of outstanding children's books from around the world and supporting communities of children and adults in exploring and using this literature through innovative technology designed in close partnership with children for children.

The aim is to assemble a new archive of remarkable educational videos designed to catalyze learning around the globe.

This is an organization that calls students to action based on the principles of Nobel Prize winners.

PaCIE consists of member institutions ranging from elementary schools to major research universities. PaCIE facilitates consensus on emerging issues, enables curriculum integration, and provides a context for exploring new and innovative ideas. WSD holds a Sponsoring Institutional Membership.

This is a web-based project sponsored by the US State Department. It may work well as our Global graduation project.

Shelly, this is great start. I also was wondering how we can incorporate the travel experiences that our students take advantage of, into the Global Academy portfolio/ project.

This is a great idea. Even if we don't use all of the project we can definitely pull parts from it.
