anonymous on 29 Mar 14"KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) - The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office says a Kingsport woman is behind bars after she admitted to making a false rape claim. Wednesday, deputies received a call of a rape at a home on Poplar Grove Road in Kingsport. When officers arrived, they found broken glass inside the home and a torn shower curtain. Amanda Rowland, 36, told authorities someone entered her home while she was in the shower and proceeded to rape her. Rowland also told investigators that her ex-boyfriend received text messages saying that she was going to be raped. She was taken to the hospital. After interviewing Rowland's ex-boyfriend, investigators found out he had been receiving text messages concerning the rape for the last couple of days from different phone numbers. He told police that he advised his ex to leave the home."
