Nepal is a unique country. It has 8 of the tallest mountains in the World. It is also famous for its unmatched beauty and cultural heritage. Annapurna (which was first successfully climbed by Maurice Herzog from France in 1950. ) has become a matter of trekking for all who enjoy hiking . Trekkers keep their cameras ready to capture the virgin beauty of the mountain peaks while visiting and climbing this region . They not only get a new experience but also get familiar with countless varieties of Himalayan flora and fauna. Trekking in Annapurna is one of the popular destinations for the trekkers. It is started from Pokhara and as Pristine Mountain Trekking is a Pokhara based trekking company, we can easily handle your trip. There are a number of ways for approaching this region. The first and easy route is from Pokhara. It can be managed by a drive of about 6-7 hours by Tourist bus or direct flight from Kathmandu (25 minutes) . Then you will meet the enchanting Pokhara . Normally you can spend one night in Pokhara, in the lap of the Annapurna Mountain range . About 1 hour drive will take you to the starting point of the trek, Nayapul. The glacier fed aqua blue water of Modi River along with its tributaries influence the natural colour through-out the whole way up to Annapurna Sanctuary. Main attractions of this area are historical villages of the Magar & Gurung people (who are also popularly known as the Gorkhas). Poon- Hill, the best place for viewing the sunrise, is a part of this trek. Beautiful tropical and alpine forests along with dense rhododendron forests, the Annapurna glacier and 360 degrees mountain views make your trek worthwhile. Trekkers can choose to stay at simple and welcoming guest houses run by local people in local style. Treks range from 7 to 10 days according to your preference.

Annapurna Circuit Trek is well known by everyone all over the world. The scenery is stunning, the mountains are magnificent and the hardworking decent people you will meet along the way will stay in your hearts and memories forever. This is a challenging adventure you will never forget and can relive with all your family and friends for many years to come. About 4-5 hours drive from Pokhara and 6-7 hours from Kathmandu, you will be on the first step to meet with these beautiful, snow- capped peaks. While doing this trek , you pass through sub-tropical forests , tropical forests, alpine forests and ultimately find yourself in a stunning, barren landscape which looks like Tibet. Enjoy not only the forests , but as you gain altitude , you get the opportunity to experience the contrasting changes in climate. Nature lovers will revel in the beauty of this trek, this country, this planet. A new trekking trail is open as far as Manang so trekkers can choose either of two ways to start the Annapurna circuit … by walking the trekking trail or an adventure drive on the hilly road. There has been road building recently which initially was very disturbing, but this has turned out to be of no concern now. Your Annapurna Circuit journey through these amazing mountains and cultures can still be enjoyed and explored. Local people nowadays have good access for food and health needs, important if living in these areas. And when an emergency occurs due to the high altitude or some misfortune, at that time trekkers will also get benefit from the road. Main attractions of this area are of historical Brahmin-Chhettr then on through Gurung, Bhote & Thakali culture. Along with Tilicho Lake at 4,949meters, the lake of highest elevation in the World, you will trek over Throng-La Pass at 5,416 meters, which has been claimed as the highest point on the Annapurna Circuit, to Muktinath and also to a 511 years old monastery situated in Jharkot on the way to Ka

Geographically the land is an extension of the Tibetan plateau, characterized by windy and arid valleys, eroded canyons and unique stratified rock formations. The people in Upper Mustang are of Tibetan origin who migrated from Tibet many centuries ago, and belong to Bhotias and Loba communities. They practice Sakyapa school of Tibetan Buddhism. Upper Mustang is the only place in the World to see Tibetan culture in its completely undisturbed state. The houses and monasteries in here have their own unique local architecture and medieval look. Mostly they are built with stone and sun baked mud bricks. Upper Mustang is a land covering about 2,600 sq km in area and is home to 6,000 people. Festivals are religious in nature, the Tiji festival being the biggest. In high caves which required technical climbing they discovered beautiful Buddhist murals, manuscripts and other historical objects which, according to them, date back to 800 year. Our Upper Mustang trek offers a rare visit to a place perfectly untouched by modernity, preserving its ancient Buddhist culture, traditions and invaluable art objects in high Himalayan desert. - See more at: http://www.pristinetrekking.com/index.php/upper-mustang#sthash.tddNlMJo.dpuf
