But you can visit that world and offer your students some of its benefits -- like fluency with online collaboration and communication -- from right where you are. All you need is a computer and an Internet connection. Here are some destinations where you and your students can start to dabble in online learning.

Where Do You Want to Go Today? A collaborative videoconference project gives you and your students an opportunity to learn with another school or classroom. CAPspace is a social networking tool for educational videoconferencing built into the new Read Around the Planet registration system. Login to find colleagues and schools interested in collaborative videoconference (H.323 and H.320) projects, and participate in TWICE sponsored matching projects.

CIESE sponsors and designs interdisciplinary projects that teachers throughout the world can use to enhance their curriculum through compelling use of the Internet. We focus on projects that utilize real time data available from the Internet, and collaborative projects that utilize the Internet's potential to reach peers and experts around the world. Below is a catalog of projects that are currently being or have been sponsored by CIESE . Each project has a brief description and links to the National Science Standards and NCTM math standards it supports.

Two Way Interactive Connections in Education (TWICE) is Michigan's organization for videoconferencing in K-12 education. TWICE promotes and supports collaborative connections for the benefit of all students.

Voices Of The World was created in June 2007 by Mrs Tonner a former ICT Specialist at The High School Of Dundee in Scotland, United Kingdom and now a Lecturer in Primary Education at The University Of Dundee. The project started as an eTwinning project to connect children in Europe using their voice and their own language. Since the project started in 2007, children from around the world have 'Let Their Voice Be Heard'.
