It's always important to take care of your health, but there are additional concerns to keep in mind when you're traveling. Whether you're taking a quick trip with your family or studying abroad for several months, it's easier to get sick when you're in a new place because your body hasn't had a chance to adjust to the food, water, and air in a new environment. Traveling can bring you in contact with things that your body isn't used to. Here are some tips on keeping your travel experience as healthy as possible. Don't Take a Vacation from Health The stress and excitement of travel can make you more likely to get sick, but if you follow a few simple tips, you're more likely to stay healthy throughout your trip - and your trip will definitely be more enjoyable. The good news is that as a teen, your immune system is as strong as an adult's, but lack of sleep and a poor diet can make it easier for you to become sick.

Postcards From Bali - 1 views

Who I booked through: Luxuryescapes.com, which offers bespoke travel deals at amazing prices. Need to know: the staff have personally tried every escape on the site (the lucky things), which means they've been able to curate each trip to ensure it's the best deal. What I wore: Lots of lightweight fabrics! It was extremely hot when I was there. I mostly wore sheer shirts with printed skirts and flats, summer dresses with shoulder bags and long-sleeved tops with shorts. Be aware that it's best not to show too much skin here out of respect for the locals. Suitable for (couples, singles or families): There are a lot of backpackers, couples, families and friends travelling together. Basically, anything goes here. Best shopping locations: Head to Seminyak via the free shuttle bus from Pan Pacific. Here you'll find lots of little clothing boutiques, cheap CD stores and beauty spas. Go and Travel to Jakarta - 1 views

  •
Indonesians will make you feel like a star First of all, Indonesians are super hospitable people and they are very friendly towards foreigners. But there aren't as many foreign tourists in Jakarta as you might think. You will get a lot of attention and the locals will genuinely be very keen to get to know you. That's in fact amazing to me. In Thailand a lot of the locals seem to get easily bemused and simultaneously annoyed by the mass tourists, and this won't be the case in Indonesia. The most surprising thing was the local CouchSurfing scene though. I'd received about a hundred various emails offering help, recommendations and hosting offers. I was blown away by the kindness of those people so I decided to meet as many as I could. We organized a big CouchSurfing meeting and many local Indonesian travelers attended. Their enthusiasm was unbelievable and I made a lot of friends that day. Even a crew from Metro TV came and filmed a little documentary for the national channel about CouchSurfing Source: http://westhillconsulting.info/blog/go-and-travel-to-jakarta/

Asia's Martial Arts - 1 views

  •
We know Martial Arts have somehow originated in the regions of Asia. While people in western countries armed their rifles and guns in battle, people in the East depend on their body to fight. Westhill Consulting Travel and Tours listed some of the martial arts per country in Asia that you might need to attend to when you are traveling: Bangladesh Lathi khela is a traditional martial art of Bangladesh and India that emphasize weapon-based fighting with sticks and other weapons. Lathi made by bamboo and other materials. Lathi khela teaches self-defense with sticks. One who specialized himself in wielding lathi and who lived on the martial art came to be known as lathial. The Lathial Bahini (group of lathials) performed various acts on the Eid or Puja occasion. Lathi Khela has a remarkable history but the popularity is on the wane now with the existence of fraud practices and strategies. China We all know Chinese Martial Arts which is also called Kung Fu. We find these fighting skills from Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Kung Fu, as a matter of fact have developed over the centuries in China. These fighting styles are often classified according to common traits, identified as "families" (家; jiā), "sects" (派; pài) or "schools" (門; mén) of martial arts. Styles that focus on qi manipulation are called internal while others that concentrate on improving muscle and cardiovascular fitness are called "external".

Many people who have visited the place have thought that the flowers which is sprayed with tulips, roses and other wild flowers are fraud but when it seems too good to be true, they are actually real array of colors. Kelimutu crater lakes, Indonesia Far from the buzzing busy street of Jakarta, Indonesia, Kelimutu, one of hundreds of volcanoes in Indonesia, is unique in that it is topped with three crater lakes of drastically different colors. Tiwu Ata Mbupu ("Lake of Old People") sits apart from the other two and appears deep blue or even black. Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai ("Lake of Maidens") is separated from Tiwu Ata Polo ("Enchanted Lake") by a shared crater wall. These lakes tend to be bright blue-green and red, respectively. The colors of these lakes have been known to change depending on the chemical composition of the water and the position of the sun. Guilin Rice Terraces, Longji, China Located in southern China close to Vietnam, the Longji terraced rice fields cover an area of almost 20,000 acres and rise as high as 3,600 feet into the air. Tips for the Road: When to buy airfare for summer trip to Europe? - 1 views

  •
ANSWER: Unfortunately, you're not likely to find many bargain fares to Europe this summer, according to travel experts. High-season fares to the continent will easily exceed $1,200 per ticket, especially to the most popular destinations (London, Paris, Rome). But there are ways to squeeze some savings out of the airfare portion of your trip. First, be flexible about your departure: The later you leave in the summer, the bigger your savings should be. By mid-September, the high fares of July should be down by a couple hundred dollars. Also, you'll save money if you fly midweek, rather than on the weekend. Consider, too, flying out of Detroit, a Delta hub, with several daily nonstops to Amsterdam (though when I checked fares recently, they were no cheaper than travel from Cleveland). As for when to book? Advice is all across the board. That 54-day figure you reference came from travel site CheapAir.com, which analyzed thousands of fares in 2013 and came up with the best time to buy. But it applies only to domestic fares - airfare to Europe is another matter entirely. Its analysis of fares to Europe last summer found that the lowest fares were snatched 319 days ahead of departure. Almost a year ahead! (See more here: http://westhillconsulting.info/ .)
