Super Pupper Party -Time to unleash your pet dogs! - Gossip Ki Galliyan - 0 views

  •
Ugghhh!! Summers are not just here but dreadfully taking a toll on all of us. We humans can at least choose to decide on our recreations to drive away our summer blues. But, what about your darling pet dogs? They too might be longing for some entertaining activities but can't express. I am sure you all must be deeply in love with your fur pals and already be doing anything and everything to keep them happy and healthy. But, just imagine those glaring eyes in your locality when you take your dog for a stroll. I am sure you must have come across such people because of whom you don't feel comfortable taking your dogs to public places. Also, if you do take your dog out, the poor thing must wear a leash. Can you imagine putting your pet in the community pool? Your pet might be clean and disciplined. But other people are not so considerate.

Beware: Traveling with pets may cost you more than you think - 1 views

  •
A carry-on bag is included in Lana Joseph's ticket price whenever she flies from Cleveland to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on United Airlines. But if that carry-on includes Molly, her six-pound Yorkshire terrier, Joseph has to cough up an additional $250 round-trip. "That's way too much for a bag that goes under the seat," says Joseph, a retired hairstylist from Akron, Ohio, who spends her winters in South Florida. "I can see a small charge, but not an exorbitant fee." Welcome to the topsy-turvy world of pet travel - a world that some say shouldn't even exist. Americans spent an estimated $55.7 billion on pets last year, according to the American Pet Products Association, most of it on food and veterinary care. But an unknown portion of that amount also paid for plane tickets and accommodations for man's best friends. It's one thing to travel with a service animal, which performs an essential function for a disabled passenger. But it's quite another to bring your dog, cat, rabbit or bird on a leisure trip because you want to. APPA President Bob Vetere has called this the "humanization" of pets - or, in travel terms, the belief that Fluffy would be sad if you went on vacation without her. Depending on your perspective, the travel industry has either accommodated those feelings by offering pet-friendly rooms, restaurants and flights, or it has preyed on them by adding fees and surcharges that do little more than line its pockets. Certainly, accommodating a live animal can be an extra burden on any company. Airlines are required to file monthly reports with the Transportation Department on pets that were lost, injured or died during transport. United has reported a total of 89 pet deaths since 2005, according to the Web site ThirdAmendment.com . Still, United's travel program for animals, called PetSafe, is said to be one of the most pet-friendly in the airline industry. United inherited PetSafe from Continental Airlines when the two merged in

Hygienic Traveling Tips - 2 views

  •
While traveling, you do not want any hygienic issues hamper your trip. Being a first time tourist, you must be surprised of how challenging it is to keep your health rituals and hygiene. There may be unavailability of water, the change of environment or the different feel of the new place that makes you awkward to get through your own beauty habits. Whatever the factors that you are experiencing, it shouldn't hinder you from doing what you have to do. Westhill Consulting Travel and Tours, a group of professional travelers who contribute great ideas and suggestions on traveling understands the issue incorporated with keeping good hygiene and staying clean all throughout your travel even when you are walking through the Sahara desert, trekking on the Amazon jungle or getting stuck on traffic in Jakarta, Indonesia. The following are some of the must-haves that you shouldn't travel without: 1. Tissue and Toilet Paper Make sure you have packed your own toilet paper. When you are traveling to public places, these are oftentimes not included in public restrooms. You cannot expect these in rural areas as well which does not promise that much of a facility. 2. Sanitizer While doctors highly advise of using soap and water while washing your hands, there are times that this is not a highly likely option for travelers.
