I have not used livecode.com myself, but this video goes over the simplistic nature of the programming language and how well it works for student learning of programming concepts. Check out the impressive portfolio of real apps online out on the web. It might be great for development of church or school apps too.

Great place to start if you've heard about and are curious about using badges in your classroom. Thinking of going that way to try it out.

Jerry Blumengarten is a 'Cybrarian' who maintains a vast website including over 20,000 links to educational resources and activities. If you are looking for it, chances are good that Jerry has it! Excellent stuff.

I am not sure what to say.... Pastor may already be doing this from the pulpit. Ushers may be doing it for your church. But when a computer is recording this information does that make it wrong?

This is just coming out and promises to have more full education features soon. I think it has lots of promise - try it out and keep an eye on it. Probably should have kept it for my pick for September! ; )

A desktop wiki like tool for keeping track of notes, phone numbers, and even has built in tools to use as your GTD system. It is cross platform running on Linux and Windows. With Dropbox you can keep your notes synced between all of your computers. You can even attach documents, files, and insert pictures too to keep all of your information in one place. Each note page is saved in plain text making it possible to edit the files with a normal text editor if you do not have Zim Wiki installed on a computer but have access to the files.

The St. John's Connection highlights Pre-K through 8th grade events throughout the quarter and gives parents and prospective families insight as to what St. John's has to offer its students.

I have enjoyed this guy's blog for a few years. I got the Kindle version for on sale for $5.99 after the new year but haven't read it yet. The book is based on a productivity series he wrote last year that was very good. I'm looking forward to getting to it.

I had a friend recommend this site, he says it is great for collaboration with others on their church's video team for developing content. It is a tool that let's you annotate and comment videos, like you would a Doc in Google.

Get more cloud storage space. You know you want it. This is like Dropbox in how you upload and store and/or share docs and images. It is also the same in how you as a user get more space. Invite others! The ability to share large files that email can't handle is comparable to DB, but I think the sharing is set up in a more intuitive way. Faculties could use for sharing on specific projects -especially if it is a non google school.

Here's what I like about Pinterest: It's different than the other major social media players like Facebook and Twitter.  For an organization, it's less about pushing your own stuff and more about sharing your culture.  What makes your church unique in who it is? Or as Pinterest Co-founder Evan Sharp says, "For most consumer brands, the idea behind your brand makes sense on Pinterest." And it's also why this social media outlet could be useful for your church.  It's your chance to not just share yourself but share things you agree with or things that will be useful to your members or your community.

Some good ideas for some of our smaller schools where you might be a teacher/basketball coach/IT director/janitor/helpdesk/crossing-guard all in one?

I can't believe that Google is shutting this down!  Hopefully some of these alternative RSS readers will be able to take its place.  Any suggestions or recommendations from the WELSTech crowd?

Well, I guess we did not have to wait long. Seems to have a lot of the features that I use in Springpad webapp, and is connected with Drive. I look forward to test driving it on my Nexus 7, and in Chrome in the weeks ahead.

A Google version of Evernote looks like it is on the way. I'm excited, since I already live in Google Apps during the day, I would love having all of my notes in Apps too. Currently using Scratchpad (A Chrome Extention) which ties into Drive, but this looks more feature rich.
