I created the map, but them started messing around and wanted to add the javascript aspect to it so it would have the hide/show. I tweeked my previous code so it would match up with this page and the body would appear on the click rather than the form in the previous bookmark.

AJAX Tutorial - 0 views

w3schools does a great job once again with their tutorials. I often find myself here at w3 when I run in to a problem. They usually do a decent job shedding light on many issues depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

This is my attempt to help others who are trying to create a task that spits back random images instead of just a random number (the Dice module). I used a screen shot from a w3schools example, and I also used 2 screen shots of my own work to assist others. This saved time in writing the code...

Breakthrough Magnet School-contact - 0 views

(I guess I didn't bookmark this properly the first time). I did this very basic form for school website that I may be redoing (its in the very early stages). However, the graphic I created is not showing up on firefox, only on Safari. I've tried everything that I know and still nothing shows up. The form, however, works.

Close, but I can get away with the email ASDF, which seems an unlikely email address.
  •
Oh, and on the image--Firefox doesn't think it is a proper PNG. What program did you use to create the image?

After some trials and tribulations I was able to get the form validation script to work with my recipe comments page. This page verifys that the user has entered their full name - no names less than 5 characters or greater than 25 characters, and that the email address is properly formatted. Not only does it let the user know that there are errors, but it also highlights the fields in yellow where the errors exist.

Travel Tabs - 0 views

  •
I hoped tabs were unobtrusive... I went back and redid a page from Module 1, putting all my travel abroad trips in one tabbed content box. The first sequence of code I tried nearly ruined my life, but Dr. Halavais was kind enough to send me a link that didn't make me want to end my life.

Small issue: when fonts are user-changed, it can bounce the last tab to a second line. But good enough to meet the requirements for the assignment, and good for you for trying something especially challenging.

Graduation Countdown - 0 views

  •
This is a graduation countdown until when I (and anyone else who plans on graduating next spring actually) app for facebook! It was a little confusing at first with the facebook api, but I once I got used to it it was just a matter getting the php to work. Facebook doesn't support javascript fully so I had to find a countdown in php....it doesn't look quite as cool as the javascript one, but it still works. FYI, it's a little plain...but it works!

Module 7: Rate My Class - 0 views

  •
here's the 'home' for my 'rate my class' project. as of this posting, i've got the structure of the site all laid out, it just needs some cascadingly stylish touches. i didnt use any javascript on this yet either. i just wanted to get something posted in time for the class deadline. each class has its own php page, which pitches and catches to itself, and its own mysql table. the nav drop down links directly to each course. enjoy!

Required Email Addy and Name - 0 views

  •
This is a link to a working comments page (linked to a database table) which requires a valid name and email address before submission using Javascript. An error message appears & fades at the bottom of the form if something is omitted. I also made the same thing happen using PHP, so there are also messages at the top of the page from that code. I got the Javascript from http://www.leigeber.com/2008/04/dynamic-inline-javascript-form-validation/, and included this citation in my js page. Upon submission, a thank you message appears at the top of the form.

Here is my final ICM505 assignment. I chose to do the course rating challenge, using all of the courses in the Communications graduate program that are to be offered next semester. Many thanks to everyone who submitted reviews - much appreciated! And a HUGE shoutout to Dr. Halavais for helping me troubleshoot those last few errors. You saved me much grief! I hope you all like it!!!

JavaScript Statements, Comments and Blocks - 0 views

  •
Test your JavaScripting skills using the w3schools.com Tryit Editor. See what happens in side by side windows. Learn the basic formatting of JavaScript statements, blocks and comments. This site seems like a good place to practice, if you know very little about coding JavaScript from scratch.
