I am in need of some help finding a good web host for my domains. I have been with a company for over 4 years now and I just think it's time to split from there, too many times down and no one ever answers the phone, so its time to go.
i am already running a movie portal on Liquidweb VPS. i dont have much knowledge about hosting or backend. But i want to try few other websites(like blogs, forums, news websites&review sites )each one having a different domain name (already registered some domains with godaddy)
I am currently with the planet and am happy with them, however as part of a new venture I need to gather a list of hosts as well as the planet that will be able to cater to the ventures needs and go to tender with the requirements.
After 7 years with Rackspace I have decided to leave for better and cheaper service elsewhere. The final straw (after a couple of years of tolerating increasing prices and decreasing support) was a ridiculous quote from them for adding 1Gb of RAM.
First post here. I'm finally ready to move from a shared environment to a dedicated server. I don't know anything about server set up and management. Therefore I'm looking for a managed solution.
I have been a client of Pacific Rack since March of this year. I learned of Pacific Rack through WHT where I saw Chris helping people out. At any rate, I watched in the wings for several months before I made the move to Pacific Racks from my own servers at another data center.
I am a webmaster in Hawaii and recently had a massive server upgrade. This was a hugely complicated process, and my host, HIVELOCITY.NET seriously came through for me.
I am looking for a new home for my web sites. I currently have a budget reseller plan. To make a long story short, my host was recently bought out by another company and the support has gone downhill and the service has been buggy ever since.
Does anyone have an experience with this host? In my search I found several favorable comments. I've been collecting different hosts names to consider from those of you kind enough to post them on your signatures.
I signed up for 3rd Rock Hosting's smallest plan and pre-paid a year because it was inexpensive and after EpicVPS's server magically deleted everything I had no reason to use a bigger host as my data was gone and my most recent backup was too old to do me much good.
Here's my situation: I run a site that does a lot of transfers AND uses a lot of CPU resources. I think I would like to get two different hosting plans to deal with these different patterns of usage, but where can I find a good host offering lots of bandwidth that is content to have it actually used?
I feel so stupid asking this. Is there a way to find out who my web host is? After I purchased, I lost records of who I purchased from. I still have access to Cpanel, but I can't figure out where I bought web hosting from.
