A flickr CC search toy - 0 views

This is a wee test search for creative commons flick photos, click on the thumbnail to see a small image and get the code to embed the photo with attribution on your blog. When you see the code you can toggle left/ right alignment and small/medium size. If you are allowed to you can edit a large size in picnik, you will need to handle the attribution for this yourself.

Share & uses only Flickr images. Book may have as many pages as you want. PLUS: embedded search feature only searches Creative Commons MINUS: Cover page, the title is a fixed location. Inside pages are static in terms of layout - image on top; text (not sure the limit on # of characters) along the bottom. From what I can see, the search only results in a limited number of images from Flickr. Also, I do not see a citation section, so am not able to properly cite the images used. You can send your completed 'book' as an email attachment or embed it into a blog/webpage. NOTE: Once you click 'Publish' there is NO going back to edit.

Simple as 1, 2, 3 -- choose an effect, upload an image, then either save, email, print, blog or upload to a social networking website. Some effects available: Photo to Sketch, Alien Vision, Amazing Goo (this one allows you to click & drag your mouse to 'morph' parts of the image) NOTE: Though most effects are free, there is a paid Pro version which "As a member, you get access to the latest effects, additional image hosting storage, and option to save high resolution images (where supported.)". Can upload jpegs, gifs & pngs NOTE: Who owns the coypright on the generated images? For all effects, other than Museumr and Celebrity Paparazzi, the owner of the original photo is the owner of the processed result.

Digital Storytelling - Part I Storytelling has been a great part of our school year, which is already winding down. From… * telling about our and Jose, the travel bear 's adventurous stories live while in Egypt * outfitting EVERY classroom in our school with their own digital cameras, so teachers and students could create a visual of their daily activities or create a visual of a learning concept * creating a collective knowledge story across grade level and subject areas demonstrating what students have learned * Life 'Round Here project, where students assumed the point of view of an object and narrated * Creating printed books that narrate the daily life in the classroom, special visits and fieldtrips and the physical and academic growth of the students throughout the year.

The Graphic Classroom is a resource for teachers and librarians to help them stock high quality, educational-worthy, graphic novels and comics in their classroom or school library. I read and review every graphic novel or comic on this blog and give it a rating as to appropriateness for the classroom.
