Inauguré, vendredi 1er juin, par le nouveau ministre de l'éducation nationale, Vincent Peillon, le 5e Forum des enseignants innovants a réuni, deux jours durant à Orléans (Centre), une centaine de professeurs porteurs de projets extrêmement divers, bien que souvent marqués par les nouvelles technologies. De ces deux journées pleines d'échanges et de rires, on retiendra l'optimisme, la passion, la grande créativité de ces "super profs", qui ne se lassent pas de chercher, d'inventer, de tester des manières d'enseigner, et ce dans un seul but : faire réussir tous leurs élèves. On est loin, très loin, des clichés souvent véhiculés sur les enseignants moroses, dépassés, déprimés.

MindLab is a cross-ministerial innovation unit which involves citizens and businesses in creating new solutions for society. Le Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication soutient en 2012 l'innovation numérique pour développer des usages culturels numériques innovants en permettant au public d'expérimenter des contenus originaux.    Lancé le 28 novembre 2011 et clos le 10 février 2012, ce dispositif permet l'émergence de nouvelles formes d'innovation tirées par les usages et les services et stimule de  nouveaux partenariats entre opérateurs culturels, services de l'État et des collectivités locales, partenaires privés et laboratoires de recherche. Doté d'1,5 millions d'euros, ce mécanisme favorise la diversité culturelle et soutient  des expérimentations destinées au grand public. 

Le prix du Territoire Innovant (catégorie Performance & Mutualisation) a été attribué à la Communauté d'Agglomération Sophia Antipolis pour son projet "Extranet Communautaire" visant à sécuriser l'accès aux informations pour les membres du conseil communautaire grâce à une technologie d'ADN du Numérique. C'est donc tout naturellement à Michel Cosnard, Président-Directeur général d'Inria, Institut dédié aux sciences du numérique, qu'il a été demandé de remettre ce prix à Jean Leonetti, président de la CASA et ministre chargé des Affaires Européennes.

Que ce soit les consommateurs, les entreprises ou encore le gouvernement, les Australiens seraient trop lents à s'adapter à la réalité numérique par rapport aux autres pays développés, et en subiraient les conséquences. En effet, les entreprises qui ne s'adapteraient pas à Internet en souffriraient. Pourtant, pour le ministère chargé des télécommunications et de l'économie numérique qui a rassemblé les résultats de plusieurs études, l'Australie a le potentiel pour devenir un acteur majeur de l'Internet d'ici à 2020.( Le ministère encourage ainsi son gouvernement ainsi que les entreprises du pays à innover, conscient que le web a fait tomber de nombreuses barrières et notamment exposé ses entreprises à la concurrence sur les marchés internationaux."
