More than listening resources. A huge variety of real listening clips, for different ages and likes. They are related to many subjects, including those related to music and movement. All the clips have teacher notes, and a plan to put into practice in your class. This, of course, can be adapted to each national curriculum. Very useful link. The only drawback I find is that you cannot download the clip, so if your connection is running slow in your school it might be difficult to use.

This activity uses samples of world music available from the BBC and helps primary or secondary pupils identify where different styles of music come from. I have suggested seven different samples of music but there are 13 available in total so you might prefer to use different ones.

Las páginas de la BBC son fuente inagotable de recursos el problema es que, en muchas, no puedo acceder a los vídeos o a los audios -creo que debido a problemas de derechos-. Ese es el caso en esta actividad.

Está muy bien que se enseñen las músicas de otros lugares. Cuando yo estudié música estaba muy orientada a la música clásica, no se veía nada más.

He elegido esta Unidad porque además de que me encanta la música, la considero muy util para nuestros alumnos. En el día a día descubro la baja cultura musical que tienen debido a que solo escuchan música actual ( supongo que a todos nos ha pasado), pero desconocen las músicas de otros paises y otras culturas.
