This is an Amazing resource for modeling science topics with simulations! Run by the University of Colorado at Boulder, there are tons of interactive simulations including ones I've used in my classes that are very helpful in visualizing certain topics. The website also has shared activities from teachers across the country including lesson plans, homework, demos, and labs for all grade levels!
This is a site run by the UIUC Department of Physics and their outreach program The Physics Van. Although this is focused more towards the elementary level, it is still a good source for Q and A about physics topics.
This web page is from the UIUC Physics Van and it is a place where people can ask questions about things in their everyday life and get answers from people who are knowledgeable in related scientific fields.
I thought was a great walk-through of the inqury and model based teaching approach. It also had a fantastic real-world example to base it off of, which can be easily used in any chemistry classroom.
This is an actual video of a slor flare that NASA has determined is headed our way. This would be an awesome thing to share with students to guage interest in science using astronomy.
A neat live underwater audio stream from under the antarctic sea ice. Includes links to research papers and explanations of how the data is being used. See if you hear any whales!
I found this site when looking for ideas to use in an upcoming demo/lesson about chemical and physical properties/changes. I guess there are only 25 experiments listed currently, but it gave me some good ideas to potentially use!
This website is for middle school teachers and has lesson plans, power points, graphic organizers, and links that could be used by teachers to support the classroom.
This website has a lot of fun easy science experiments. I found this website because my cooperating teacher uses it in her study hall classroom. The experiments relate to many different types of science. Most of them require minimal materials!
This site links to chemistry classroom management and activity resources. It also has a lot of fun links that relate chemistry to other subject areas from history to poetry.
This video deals with multicultural diversity in the classroom and common issues with solutions. It's not a very enthusiastic video but it does a good job explaining what diversity is and how it plays a role in classrooms.
