National Public Radio is a great resource for integrating current events into the classroom.  In addition to national and world news, NPR also has great pieces on the arts, culture, books, and music.  Definitely one of my favorite websites.

Example of Biography Project - 0 views

This is a great example of a media project that student's could do on a variety of authors. They could put it together using power point and showing it to the class could be beneficial for all students when reading texts by that particular author.

Fiction Book Lists - 0 views

I think it will be beneficial for students to do book reviews on their own outside the classroom. This is a chance for them to use their critical thinking skills while responding to a piece of fiction that they can choose on their own. This website can provide an academic list of accepted books which my students can choose from.

South Park is edgy and controversial as usual, and although this isn't strictly English related, I think it really helps point out how we take education. Too often we push things too far or not enough. Sex Ed is important but how important is always a pertinent question as with the debate between any curriculum.
