    This website offers a lot of great ideas on non-traditional ways for students to write book reports. The projects are more geared towards grades 6-8, and focus on assessing the students basic knowledge of the text. However, more guidelines could be added to make the projects more challenging for older students.

    It has free online texts. I personally use it to search for relevant quotes for papers.

    This is a great example of a media project that student's could do on a variety of authors. They could put it together using power point and showing it to the class could be beneficial for all students when reading texts by that particular author.

It's a good example of how we can use technology to allow our students to use a little creativity and have a little fun with their assignments. Also, many of us may be asked to teach a speech class at the school where we are hired!
