This website is an incredibly useful tool. It has thousands of books online for teachers to use. It has them listed by topic and then broken down into several different subcategories. Listed for each book are things like author interviews, lesson plans, audio tools, project ideas, tests, and more. Just under the English/LA category, there is 29,674 books listed. It is amazing that this one site has so much to offer. I can't wait to make use of it more.

XPrize-Community-building and collaboration are two defining aspects of Web 2.0. A range of tools enable teachers and students to communicate, collaborate and share work. Some, like Edmodo, are designed specifically for educators. This Twitter-like tool lets you create custom mini-communities for classes, clubs, parents, etc and push out assignments, reminders and updates. Others, like GoogleDocs, are for general use but conducive to inter- and intra-school collaboration-in real time. All are easy to use. Case in point: a wiki-the Hawaiian word for "quick"-can be set up in 5 minutes! According to the website.

Typing Course Most children are learning to type at a much younger age. Children are typing in school for essays and even for most written assignments now. There is much debate as to whether typing is becoming the dominant form of communication. This is a very important skill that I have not acquired so I will play the game to help with developing my skills and I can let the students know the importance of being efficient at typing.

This is AWESOME because most kids of all ages are embarrassed about their bodies and the changing of it. they can go to this site and type in their questions and read about what others have asked. I never what a child to say "If I only knew or had been taught that". So this would definitely go in to the news letter home so the child can do it at home or if there is fre time at school.
