Choice (1): As an English/Secondary Education major, I use this website to read journal articles and look at relevant topics in the field of literacy, English studies, and Language Arts. This website contains a ton of information including lesson plans, activities, etc. You can become a member of the NCTE and connect in other ways if interested. There are professional development opportunities (conferences, etc.) that are available, too. You can sign up for email newsletters and updates which contain new information in this field.

This site is a good website for students who have dyslexia. Sometimes it is hard for them to understand or keep up when a teacher is reading. This website allows the students to have a book read to them that provides clear pronunciation and meaning of words. This is a good resource for any teacher because we may all have an experience with a student who has dyslexia. Amber Koth

This website is cool because it has different articles every day related to science. It is current news around the world. You can watch videos and read articles.

This is a website that can be used for language arts. It is an extension of the McGraw Hill basal readers. It suggests activities that go along with the stories the children will read in class. I will use this website if I teach out of a McGraw Hill book.

This allows teachers to drop files in an online folder and access it from multiple computers. Collaborative folders can be created to share with partner teachers.

Drop box seems very handy and is an easy way to store, sync, and, share files online. For an older class this would be beneficial. Now adays assignments are submitted online a lot more and this would be very easy for both the teacher and the student to see their files they have uploaded and both can edit and work on them. It would be helpful for the teacher to write notes on an assinment and the student could go in and read what the teacher has to say.

I chose this site because it gives a lot of creative ideas of what can be done to teach students reading in a fun way. I could use this in my future class anytime I need an idea

This website seems to have every language arts skills practice available, from reading a passage with a quiz, to identifying parts of a quiz. It also has a ton of printable resources. I am interested in teaching 4th grade so I would use the extensive information for 4th grade language arts since it's also common core aligned.

I chose this site because it has a wide array of information on how almost anything works. I would use this to help students understand the inner workings of any scientific process.

This website teaches students key topics in U.S. history. It teaches the student how to critically read primary sources.

This has strategies for social studies. It offers a bunch of ideas to try in the classroom. These strategies would work in all types of classrooms.

I chose this website because it has many great ideas for helping with language arts. I would implement this into my teaching if I become a Middle School Language Arts teacher for reading/literacy, writing, vocabulary and more.

I picked this website. due to it having great resources for kids to chose books from. I feel it is great for a teacher to have other websites to show their students.

as a teacher, if I was teaching high school students. I feel this would be something great for them to read. So, they can get ready for college writing. Teachers can only do so much I feel we have to trust our students will put in the work as well.

This site will be very helpful to me because it has many different lesson plans to look for. This site also has tips to help teachers while writing a lesson plan.

This website has so many lesson plans available in all the school subjects. This will really be useful when I am a teacher to get ideas from other teachers to see what kind of activities they are doing in their classrooms.

This website is a great resource for elementary teachers to use. This website has many things to offer for all subject area. It has lesson plans and planning, curriculum, professional readings, and many other things. It also has a link to where a teacher can get free books, how to build a website and contest that their students can enter in.

Personal learning network for educators to use and collaborate with other teachers, which is a bit more personal and immediate than other sites.

I can use this to talk to other teachers or other people to get classroom ideas or just to ask question anytime I need to talk to another teacher.

This website, after creating an account, allows you to network with other educators and has a wide collection of inspiring articles and helpful links. This would be a great website to swap ideas with other educators or read threads to keep up with helpful and relevant conversations.
