Should small island nations put efforts in adaptation vs emigration?
Here's an interesting quote at the end of the article:
"I do not believe that the world should sit idly by while entire countries are slowly but surely annihilated," Takesy said. "And do you really want five million angry Pacific Islanders to come knocking on your door?"
raises some very interesting questions over who is responsible!
This practice is considered a part of their culture, does that justify the killing of the pilot whales? Or should age old customs (such as this) be banned? Who has the right to make such a decision?

As some of you may know, I study the samples that Kenny collects from these caves (very exciting!). It should be really interesting and he's a really great speaker!

What (if any) scientific studies have been done? Why does it require hunting the whales?
