IRIDESCENT HOTELS OF Dallas has been contracted to manage two more hotels in Texas and Ohio. Iridescent was founded last year by Ash Patel, past chairman of AAHHOA, who leads the company with partner Christopher Puntureri. In the recent contract, Iridescent will manage the 111-room Holiday Inn & Suites San Antonio North Stone Oak in San Antonio, Texas, and the 75-room Red Roof Inn Dayton-Moraine, in Dayton, Ohio, as a third party on behalf of the hotels' owners. The San Antonio Holiday Inn is near San Antonio International Airport and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Also nearby are Microsoft, Baker Hughes, Tesoro, Schlumberger as well as 3 Hospitals which include NE Baptist, Methodist Stone Oak and North Central Baptist. The Red Roof Inn is near the University of Dayton and the University of Dayton Arena with the Industrial Park within walking distance. Additional attractions nearby include the Dayton Mall, Indiana Wesleyan University and the Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The Holiday Inn & Suites Atlanta Perimeter-Dunwoody opened March 24 with a ribbon cutting in Chamblee, Georgia. It is owned by Atlanta Hospitality Investment LLC, led by Mohammad Hossain as managing member, and operated by YM Hospitality led by Jay Patel as chairman and Nick Patel as CEO in Stockbridge, Georgia. A key feature of the 143-room hotel is its rooftop bar and restaurant, Spice & Sky, with a globally inspired menu from Atlanta chef, Archna Becker. The space is designed for year-round dining both inside and out, however. About 15 minutes from downtown Atlanta, nearby attractions include Murphey Candler Park, Perimeter Mall, Stone Mountain Park and LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Amenities include a heated indoor pool, a fitness center and 4,500 square feet of event space.

The Home2 Suites by Hilton-Richmond is open in Richmond, Indiana. It is owned by The Witness Group led by Sachin Patel, Sagar Patel and Aakash Patel as principals and executive leadership team. It is managed by Hotel Equities of Atlanta. The 100-room extended-stay hotel is near Richmond Mall, the Indiana Football Hall of Fame, and Indiana University East. Dayton International Airport. Amenities include an indoor saline pool and electric vehicle charging stations. It is pet friendly. "The hotel staff has prioritized the health and safety of patrons by implementing HE's industry leading HEalth First standards of cleanliness and safety protocol as part of the early operations training," said David Rosenberg HE's vice president of operations. "These protocols, which are above and beyond brand standards, along with the team's delivery of superior customer service will give guests complete confidence during their stay and will position the hotel as a leader in the Richmond market."

The Best Western Kennesaw is now open in Kennesaw, Georgia. Darren Patel is the owner and general manager of the hotel. The 59-room hotel is near the Six Flags Over Georgia waterpark, Town Center at Cobb shopping mall, Andretti Indoor Karting and Games, the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca-Cola museum and Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves baseball team. Also nearby are Dobbins Air Reserve Base, the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History and the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. "Guests will appreciate having everything they need at our newly renovated property, and the warm service and exceptional value that the Best Western brand has been providing for 75 years," Patel said.

WAYSIDE INVESTMENT GROUP of Houston, Texas, will manage the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Katy, Texas, in collaboration with Southwest Hospitality Management. The hotel will undergo a complete Formula Blue multimillion-dollar renovation. Wayside, led by Miraj Patel as president, has added three hotels this year to its purchasing, development and management services. The 98-room Holiday Inn is near the Golf Club at Cinco Ranch, TopGolf Houston, Katy Mills Mall and CityCentre. "The addition of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Katy demonstrates our focused growth in our local Houston-area market and provides us the opportunity to launch our collaboration with Southwest Hospitality Management, which will provide our companies the resources to grow our footprint," Patel said.

The SureStay Hotel by Best Western Rockford East is now open in Rockford, Illinois. It is owned by Bankim Hirpara. The 122-room hotel is near Rockford University, Midway Village Museum, Hurricane Harbor Rockford waterpark, CherryVale Mall, Discovery Center Museum, Aldeen Golf Club and Rock Cut State Park. "We're excited to join the SureStay brand and open our doors in East Rockford," Hirpara said. "We look forward to welcoming guests to our convenient location, which is within proximity to some of Rockford's most exciting destinations. Our staff is eager to provide our guests with a stay they can be sure about."

EVERGREEN HOSPITALITY DEVELOPMENT Group has selected the third-party management company Resolute Road Hospitality to oversee two of its Oregon hotel properties. These are the Hampton Inn & Suites Portland Tigard in Tigard and the Hampton Inn & Suites Sherwood Portland in Sherwood. The Hampton Inn & Suites Portland Tigard offers 152 rooms between Beaverton, Lake Oswego and downtown Portland. This property is close to downtown Portland, the Oregon Zoo and Washington Square shopping mall. The 73-room Hampton Inn & Suites Sherwood Portland provides lodging in Oregon's wine country. It's close to Sherwood Market Center, Stella Olsen Memorial Park, and various wineries including Ponzi Vineyards, Tualatin River and the National Wildlife Refuge.

The TownePlace Suites by Marriott Potomac Mills Woodbridge is open in Woodbridge, Virginia. It is owned by Mills Group LLC and managed by Marquee Hospitality LLC, which is led by Mike Patel as principal and chief operations officer and Nav Patel as Principal and chief financial officer. Attractions near the new 91-suite Woodbridge hotel include the Potomac Mills Mall, the Hylton Chapel, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Fort Belvoir, historic Occoquan and downtown Washington, D.C. Hotel amenities include an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and 1,255 square feet of meeting space.

The Best Western Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport is now open in Humble, Texas, following a comprehensive renovation. Previously it was a Baymont by Wyndham. The 52-room hotel is owned by Houston-based Wayside Investment Group, led by Miraj Patel as president. It is near the Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport as well as several restaurants, the Deerbrook Mall, Jess H. Jones Parks and the Old MacDonald's Farm. Amenities include a fitness center, meeting room, guest laundry and business center. It is pet friendly. VISION HOSPITALITY GROUP has broken ground on the upscale AC Hotel Atlanta Perimeter Center in Atlanta. The 156-room hotel is expected to open in 2021. Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Vision Hospitality is led by Mitch Patel, president and CEO. AC Hotel Atlanta Perimeter Center will feature the first rooftop bar in Atlanta's Perimeter Center area. The hotel's library will provide novels for guests and the AC Lounge will be available for work and social gatherings. The hotel also will display a curated collection of art. Nearby are Perimeter Center Mall and offices for State Farm, UPS, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper and Mercedes Benz USA. Vision Hospitality has 10 hotels in the Atlanta metro area, including the recently refinanced 115-room Marriott Courtyard Duluth Sugarloaf in Duluth, Georgia, and the SpringHill Suites Downtown Atlanta. NOBLE INVESTMENT GROUP has acquired the dual-brand Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Denver and Homewood Suites by Hilton Downtown Denver in Denver. Atlanta-based Noble is led by founder and CEO Mit Shah. The dual-brand hotel has a combined 302 guestrooms and suites, an indoor pool and whirlpool, a bar and more than 7,000 square feet of meeting and boardroom space. It is near the Colorado Convention Center and the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall, as well as the Union Station multimodal transportation hub. Downtown Denver also includes more than 25 million square feet of office space, three major sports stadiums, the Pepsi Center, the Denver Performing Arts Center, restaurants and museums and other attractions.

AURO HOTELS RECENTLY ACQUAIRED the Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Buckhead/Lenox Park. Hunter Hotel Advisors helped broker the deal, which it said is another example of the strength of the extended-stay segment that has been seeing increased interest from major hotel companies such as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The 150-room Residence Inn is in Atlanta's upscale Buckhead neighborhood near shopping and dining outlets, such as Lenox Square Mall and Phipps Plaza, according to Hunter. Also, the hotel is across from AT&T corporate offices. "We are thrilled that the stars aligned on this acquisition - a smooth process with a highly professional seller, another collaboration with a trusted equity partner, and a further expansion of our relationship with Marriott," said D.J. Rama, CEO of Auro Hotels. "With the expertise brought by our investment, operations and design and construction resources, we believe strongly in the property's future performance potential."

NEXGEN HOTELS, LED by Chris Patel as president, acquired the 120-suite SpringHill Suites by Marriott Chicago Waukegan/Gurneein in Waukegan, Illinois. The purchase is part of the company's strategy in the market. The hotel is near to Naval Station Great Lakes, Six Flags Great America & Hurricane Harbor, Gurnee Mills Mall, Waukegan Municipal Beach and other shopping, dining and entertainment options, a statement said. "Acquiring the SpringHill Suites by Marriott strategically aligns our company's growth in the Waukegan area," Patel said. "Having an existing presence in the market with our TownePlace Suites by Marriott Chicago Waukegan/Gurnee, will help us collaborate between the hotels, and enhance our partnerships with other area businesses."

HOS Management, led by President Kris Patel, recently acquired Residence Inn Savannah Midtown in Georgia. The 66-key hotel is near City Market, Oglethorpe Mall, Candler Hospital, historic downtown Savannah, River Street, SCAD, and Memorial Health University Medical Center. The property also provides easy access to the beaches of Tybee Island, St. Simons, and Jekyll Island. "We had a great experience working with Hunter Hotel Advisors, especially Mayank Patel and his team, on this acquisition," said Patel. "The Residence Inn Savannah Midtown is the perfect Marriott addition to our portfolio." HOS Management, based in Savannah, Georgia, is a family-operated hotel development and management company with properties under brands like Marriott International, Hilton, IHG Hotels and Resorts, and Wyndham. Founded by brothers Anil and Kirit Patel, the company began with the acquisition of the Benton Motel, their first independent motel, in 1985.

SureStay Plus by Best Western Corydon is now open in Corydon, Indiana. Manish Kumar is its general manager. The newly renovated 76-room hotel has a business center, and 24-hour fitness facilities. It will open an outdoor pool later this year, BWH Hotels said in a statement. "We are proud to welcome travelers to the SureStay Plus by Best Western Corydon and cannot wait for them to experience the SureStay Hotels difference," said Dave Panas, SureStay's managing director of operations. The property is located near Squire Boone Caverns, Marengo Cave (a U.S. National Landmark), Turtle Run Winery, Corydon Capital State Historic Site, Hayswood Nature Reserve, and the Red Barn Antique Mall, the statement added.
