STR: February ADR for U.S. hotels highest since August 2021 - 0 views

    ADR FOR U.S. hotels was the highest in February for any month since August 2021, according to STR. The U.S. hotel industry reported higher performance during the month from the month before. Occupancy was 56.9 percent for February, up from 47.8 percent in January and down 8.2 percent compared to same period in 2019. ADR was $137.39 for the month, increased from $123.51 the prior month and up 6.8 percent from the same month two years ago. RevPAR was $78.24, up from $58.98 in January and down 1.9 percent from two years ago. The February ADR level was roughly 5 percent below the 2019 level when adjusted for inflation, the report said.

However, year-over-year comparisons remained mixed, with key metrics like occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR experiencing an increase compared to the preceding period. Occupancy came in at 56.2 percent for the week ending Jan. 27, up from the previous week's 52.2 percent but down 0.3 percent year-over-year. ADR increased to $149.76 from the prior week's $142.27, a 5.1 percent rise from the previous year. RevPAR rose to $84.13 from the prior week's $74.31, reflecting a 4.8percent increase compared to the corresponding period in 2023. Among the top 25 markets, Las Vegas exhibited the highest year-over-year growth across all key performance metrics: a 28.9 percent increase in occupancy to 83.4 percent, a 46.3 percent rise in ADR to $228.37, and an 88.5 percent growth in RevPAR to $190.42. This performance surge was attributed to the SHOT Show and World of Concrete events.

Overall, 14 of the top 25 markets reported double-digit increases in GOPPAR. "Total industry revenues and profits were well beyond 2022 levels as pricing power continued to outweigh the impact of softer leisure demand," said Claudia Alvarado Cruz, senior analytics manager at STR. "A lift in corporate demand made improvements especially notable across the upper-upscale brands and major markets. New York City was the shining example with 47 percent growth in GOPPAR." In 2023, GOPPAR reached $75.83, marking an 8.2 percent increase from 2022. TRevPAR stood at $211.49, indicating a 9.6 percent rise, while EBITDA PAR amounted to $53.05, up 7.6 percent from the prior year. Labor costs notably increased, reaching $71.56, reflecting a 13.2 percent rise.

RevPAR also increased to $90.4 from $81.69 the prior week, reflecting a 3.9 percent increase compared to the corresponding period in 2023. Among the top 25 markets, Oahu Island saw the largest year-over-year increases, with occupancy rising 8 percent to 82.9 percent.

Come to Dien Bien, you will also have the chance to feast on many exotic food that can only be found in Vietnam's North Western Region.   Dien Bien Phu  is located in Muong Thanh Valley which is approximately 20km long and 6km wide. this city is 35km from the Laos border and  474km to Hanoi. This was a battlefield between the Viet Minh Army and French Army in 1954.   The result was the French in Indochina was cut and Viet Nam was divided into two parts: North and South. Nowadays, Dien Bien Phu became one of the tourist attraction sites for many local and international tourists.   The major attraction is the battlefield, its associated museum and relicts, and more recently, the largest statue in Vietnam erected to commemorate the 2004 anniversary. It is noticeable that for the adventurous visitor, this is an attractive center for majestic scenery and an access point for encounters with wide variety of ethnic minority groups that have hardly been touched by tourism.   The battle development in summary   At 5 p.m, March 13, 1954, we opened fire,  starting the Dien Bien Phu campaign. The fight took place fiercely right at the beginning and it was divided into three stages. The first stage (from March 13 to March 17, 1954): We held the  Him Lam, Doc Lap, Ban Keo strongholds.
