CSS3 Selectors Test, CSS3 .info - 2 views

  •
After starting the test-suite it will automatically run a large number of small tests which will determine if your test is compatible with a large number of CSS selectors. If it is not compatible with a particular selector it is marked as such. You can click on each CSS selector to see the results, including a small example and explanation for each of tests. Because it is technically not possible to simulate certain user interactions the test is limited to CSS selectors that are not dependent on user interactions. So this test-suite does not include tests for the following selectors: :hover, :active, :focus and :selection.

The Acid3 test measures some performance characteristics. The test does not attempt to make any comparisons or judgments as to the performance of any hardware used, and should not be used as a hardware benchmark. If the test is run on a slow computer or device, it may run slowly or not smoothly and this does not imply non-conformance.

BKWLD › Buk Life › Cufón speed test - 3 views

  • Not knowing how fast Cufón could render when given a lot of text, I put a test together.  PHP renders out a bunch of random text in blocks ranging from 10 characters to 1,000,000 characters.  Then Cufón goes to task on each, in sequence.  JS tells  you how long it takes.  Try it out here, but be advised it can crash your test.
  •
At 100,000 characters, FF3 threw "A script is running slow, blah blah" messages.  IE7 just crashed.  Safari 4 hung in there till 1,000,000 but then it gave up.  It looks like Apple's claims about Safari 4's speed have some truth.  I didn't test any of the past generation of tests, I may go back and add them later.

Test your IPv6. - 8 views

  •
How this test works: Your test will be instructed to reach a series of URLs. The combination of successes and failures tells a story about how ready you are for when publishers start offering their web sites on IPv6. Q: What is World IPv6 Day? This is a trial period where a number of major web sites will provide their content on both IPv4 and IPv6. This is being led by the Internet Society (ISOC). more information is posted on their World IPv6 Day page. World IPv6 day, scheduled for 8 June 2011, is a global-scale test flight of IPv6 sponsored by the Internet Society. On World IPv6 Day, major web companies and other industry players will come together to enable IPv6 on their main websites for 24 hours. The goal is to motivate organizations across the industry -- Internet service providers, hardware makers, operating system vendors and web companies -- to prepare their services for IPv6 to ensure a successful transition as IPv4 address space runs out. Click here to see the start time in your local area. Why is World IPv6 Day necessary? The address space used by the current version of the Internet protocol, IPv4, is expected to run out in 2011. Without action, we risk increased costs and limited functionality online for Internet users everywhere. The only long-term solution to this problem is adoption of IPv6, which provides over 4 billion times more space. IPv6 is used extensively in many large networks, but it has never been enabled at a global scale. World IPv6 Day will help industry players work together to support the new protocol on an accelerated timeline. With major web companies committing to enable IPv6 on their main websites, there are strong incentives for other industry players to ensure their systems are prepared for the transition.
