"Qubes is a security-oriented, open-source operating system for personal computers. It uses virtualization to implement security by compartmentalization and supports both Linux and Windows virtual environments. Qubes 3.0 introduces the Hypervisor Abstraction Layer (HAL), which renders Qubes independent of its underlying virtualization system."
Tahoe-LAFS is a Free and Open cloud storage system. It distributes your data across multiple servers. Even if some of the servers fail or are taken over by an attacker, the entire filesystem continues to function correctly, preserving your privacy and security.
Document Cloud is a platform that is primarily meant to be used by journalists who are reporting on (or publishing) primary source documents. They will be able to have their documents run through OpenCalais, and get comprehensive information on all the places, people and organizations that are mentioned in the document. Plus, Document Cloud can look at all the dates that are mentioned on the original text, have them plotted on a timeline, and let them know about documents that are related to what they have written.
"Our core product, SHAREit, is a cross-platform sharing app. SHAREit eliminates the need for cables to enable wireless transfer of files between devices at rapid speeds. Users can share with friends as well as transfer their personal content on the go, between all of their devices."
Freepto is a Linux-based operating system on USB stick. This means you can bring it with you and use any computer as it was your own. Also, data you save on the USB stick will always automatically be encrypted (i.e. nobody else will be able to access them).
"Places uses the highest encryption standards available. On the client side encryption, we use an algorithm that mixes asymetric (RSA 2048) and symetric encryption (aes-256). Therefore, your content is securely encrypted on your device before it even goes on the Internet."
