Sensation and Perception Experiments
Two experiments which I designed and ran for my Sensation and Perception class in Fall 2009. They are designed to measure counting thresholds. Both experiments use HTML5 canvases which requires a modern browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
Life on a Canvas
simulation of Conway's Game of Life and I added a bunch of features to make it interactive. Go ahead and enjoy it!

Radius

Swiffy converts Flash SWF files to HTML5, allowing you to reuse Flash content on devices without a Flash player (such as iPhones and iPads). Swiffy currently supports a subset of SWF 8 and ActionScript 2.0, and the output works in all Webkit browsers such as Chrome and Mobile Safari
Drag and drop your truetype (ttf), opentype (otf), scalable vector graphics (svg) or Web Open Font Format (WOFF) fonts in the left hand side module and it will be added to the list. The last font dropped will change the font-family of this text and the above title.
At the moment this functionality of dragging and dropping files from the desktop to the browser is only available in Firefox 3.6. You can expect to see this added to other browsers in the near future.
This tool plots the F(x, y) mathematical functions into your browser. The thing is that, we are trying to bring a new way which is more visual and effective in learning.
Examples:
x^2 + y
cos(x + y) * y
abs(x+y)
sign(x) + sign(y)
sqrt(x^2 + y^2)
You can drag and drop images and SVGs into your browser to place them in your drawing. Then drag, resize and rotate. The time-machine feature provides unlimited undo/redo functionality. There's a huge collection of fonts, graciously provided by those involved with the Google Fonts Directory-the text tool allows you to preview exactly what your text looks like, instead of editing and clicking "apply" over and over. The select tool allows you to edit any layer, and even do bulk operations, such as changing the color of multiple layers.
Modernizr detects feature support across JS APIs and CSS. Now, there is a simple page that shows you what Modernizr thinks of your browserhttp://www.modernizr.com/
