"Sheppard offers everything from early math to pre-algebra. The lessons include interactive activities to practice concepts. Students can shoot fruit, pop balloons, and even play math man (the math version of pac man!). Fractions, place value, money, and basic operations are some of the areas that are covered.

Sheppardsoftware has a bunch of fun online games for students. I was looking for math games and found this site but they do have games for all grades for many different subjects.

ABCmouse.com helps kids learn to read through phonics, and teaches lessons in math, social studies, art, music, and much more. For kids age 2 to Kindergarten. It is also free for teachers in public schools.

Microsft Powerpoint to create my graphic organizers and Publisher to make large copies that can be used whole group. Below are some of the graphic organizers I've used. Some are deliberately left blank (it's very simple to insert text boxes in both Powerpoint and Publisher).

I am going to offer a unit on the Civil War and its impact on World History in my World History class (mostly 10th graders) for the first time. They quit teaching about the Civil War in US History that students take as juniors in our district, and I think they need more than what they got in 7th grade. Just saying!
