Might be a good goal for September!! The challenge will be launched in June and involves participants creating videos and / or screencasts of some of the great things they are doing with their IWB to share with teachers and students across the globe. The aim is to improve the use of Interactive Whiteboards in classrooms around the world. Great way to connect with others!
A great resource from the Screen Actors Guild. Good quality literature read aloud by actors, complete with sound, captions, and pictures, so students can read along!! Via Melanie!!
Great K/1 interactive site that Avi showed me. I taught the kids the word "intuitive" with this one as there are no instructions...I was amazed at how quickly they figured out the gist of each activity. The aquarium was their favourite (the little submarine on the left). We used the site on our board and on stand alone computers.
Sometimes you just have to draw, and paint, and erase, and draw some more.
This Blog post has links to 12 free online drawing tools and has nice short annotations. Of these, I have only used Sumopaint and Aviary. I am looking forward to trying some other ones.
I have also had a ton of fun with sketchup on a smartboard.
Today as an extension to creating towers etc with blocks my grade ones and twos worked with google sketch up on both the SMARTboard and stand alone computers- pretty cool
