Anjaly's suggestion from Module 4 "The blog from tutor2u is an excellent resource to get your students into the habit of reading news articles. Although they cannot use these articles for their commentaries, signing up for the digest, which is delivered three or four times a week, and reading the articles, helps them understand what makes a good article, as well as keeping them informed about weekly events. What is more you can normally find the original source of these articles, which students can use as extracts if they are not too long."

I liked how quick and simply this video shows good tips. This is a good "although not using the latest Google layout provides excellent tips"

A good overview for Google Advanced Search skills.

Use this to have students prepare their answers for exam questions. A simple practice that can greatly improve scores on exams.

Considering alternative measures of growth/ development Anjaly suggested this TED talk: Nic Marks THE HAPPY PLANET INDEX It would be a very appealing conversation starter for our students.
