A New Face of Education: Bringing Technology into the Classroom in the Developing World

University of Southern Queensland (Australia) OpenCourseWare course designed to help tertiary educators delve into teaching and learning in a tertiary environment. Participants create a "Teaching Capacity Enhancement Plan" in collaboration with professional colleagues. Incorporates relevant professional development/staff activities. Participants must have access to teaching/learning environments in a tertiary setting.

In the run-up to 2015 and beyond, the global education community must work together to improve learning and propose practical actions to deliver and measure progress. In response, UNESCO through its Institute for Statistics (UIS) and the Center for Universal Education (CUE) at the Brookings Institution have co-convened the Learning Metrics Task Force (LMTF). The project's main objective is to shift the focus of global education debates from access to access plus learning. Based on input from technical working groups and global consultations, the task force will make recommendations to help countries and international organizations measure and improve learning outcomes for children and youth worldwide.

The Encyclopedia of Peace Education provides a comprehensive overview of the scholarly developments in the field to date as well as new insights from across the globe from the  various actors involved in advancing peace education internationally. Thus, this online resource serves as a living reference guide that traces the history and emergence of the field, highlights foundational concepts, contextualizes peace education practice across international and disciplinary borders, and suggests new directions for peace educators
