Nation Wide, Compiled by Michael Clifford SOME of the earliest sites of human habitation in Ireland have been uncovered in Meath, according to The Chronicle. The sites have been uncovered by a team of 200 archaeologists who are checking out the route for the new Northern Motorway in advance of the road building.Some of what has been recovered pre-dates Knowth and Newgrange, with others dating back to the Bronze, Iron and early Christian ages.
