It is used to measure customer loyalty and has been shown to be a relatively accurate predictor of growth, certainly much more accurate than other metrics that rely on historical data. Relying on a simple survey, NPS® offers a wide range of benefits, not least of which is the simplicity of surveying customers and the high response rates. The importance of measuring the Net Promoter Score in the banking and financial services industry, in particular, cannot be overlooked, especially considering that there is a clear correlation between this metric and the sales and profitability of a financial institution. The higher the score, the better the sales and higher the level of profitability.
