New Zealand beat Bangladesh in match number nine of the ICC World Cup 2019. The Kiwis notched their second successive win in 2019 World Cup. Batting first, Bangladesh were bowled out for 244, as Matt Henry (4/47) stole the show with his performance. The Kiwis then prevailed in a thriller, with the Tigers putting in a commendable shift. World's number one Test team, India produced a fascinating performance as they drubbed hosts Windies by 318 runs in their opening Test of the ICC World Test Championship 2019-21 in Antigua on Sunday. The Indian cricket team beat Bangladesh inside three days to win the first Test match and take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. This was India's sixth successive victory in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship. Bangladesh were bowled out twice under 200 to hand India an emphatic victory.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli scored his 27th century in Test cricket, on Day 2 of the second Test (Day-Night) against Bangladesh at the iconic Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. He also became the first Indian to score a century in Day-Night Test, as he scored it off 159 deliveries, including 12 fours.

The Austrian outfit settled for a 0-0 stalemate in their away leg in Switzerland and hold a perfect record at home in the Europa League this season. The draw at Basel halted Salzburg's 16-match winning streak in all competitions, although Roger Schmidt's men bounced back with a 5-0 win over Wolfsberger AC in the Austrian Bundesliga. Similarly, Basel enjoyed a 5-0 league win over Aarau to find their feet after the home stalemate. Salzburg's form at home extends beyond their five wins in the tournament this season, as they have been beaten just once at their Red Bull Arena fortress since August 2012. They have won 14 in succession at home, including European wins over Zalgiris (5-0), Elfsborg (4-0), Standard Liege (2-1), Esbjerg (3-0) and Ajax (3-1). Conversely, Basel have not won an away fixture in the Europa League in their past 10 outings in the second-tier continental competition, but they travel to Austria in the knowledge a score draw would see them progress to the quarter-finals.
