Interview with Bernie Sanders about his possible run for the White House. There's a lot of difference between socialism and democratic socialism. Sanders is at least a civil libertarian, one of the few honest people in Congress, who frequently worked closely with other civil libertarians such as Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Peter Defazio. And he's anti-war, anti-surveillance society, anti-bankster, and anti-insurance industry, the banksters in disguise who have the only industry in the U.S. that is exempt from anti-trust laws. If he runs, he'll likely get my vote regardless of whether he runs as a Democrat or as an Independent.  But I'd love to see him run as an Independent.

Bear in mind that the "two state solution" is *only* an excuse for postponing the day of reckoning on Palestinian rights. The "solution" in its variations involves swapping territory between Israel and the State of Palestine. Watch for a rise in publicity efforts from Bernie Sanders. A "feeler" questionnaire has been circulating in Progressive circles seeking feedback on whether Sanders should run for President in 2016, and if so whether he should run as a Democrat or an Independent. I'd like to see him run as a Democrat in the primaries and as an Independent in the main election if Hillary gets the Democratic nod. Sanders is easily the strongest civil libertarian in the Senate and strongly anti-war. And he just might cost Hillary the election.

The Neocons were mostly silent on this one and Rumsfeld came out against the intervention, saying that Obama hadn't made a valid case for war. That's most likely because the Neocons are joined at the hip with Israeli government and that government is a house divided this time around, with only factions supporting the military strike. The current thinking in Tel Aviv/Jerusalem is, in line with the Israeli right's long term strategy, that it's just fine with them to have Muslims running around killing each other in Syria. That long-term strategy is to destabilize Israel's Arab neighbor states while Israel builds its economic empire and military hegemony in the region. Israeli government isn't exactly thrilled by the prospect of Obama delivering fulfillment of the Saudi goal of transforming Syria from a secular state into a non-secular Islamic state run by Wahabi extremists. Note that this is a poll in a group that is loyal to the Democratic Party and confines itself to voting Democrat in the main elections. As such, their influence is negligible. Progressives who are willing to run spolier campaigns as independents, like Ralph Nader have far more potential to move the Democratic Party than those who stay within its fold.  Ditto for Tea Partiers and the Republican Party. What's needed is a coalition to form a new party based on areas of agreement, rather than the divide-and-conquer split between the two major "parties" that guarantees a bankster/War Party win. 

According to this article, Jeb Bush's son has said Jeb is "more than likely" to run for president in 2016. The American Empire already entered its nepotism phase when George H.W. Bush's son was elected president. Now if Jeb Bush gets the Republican nomination and Hillary gets the Democratic nod, the voters would be presented with a choice between the lengthening the Bush Dynasty or creating a new Clinton Dynasty.  Obviously, what we really need is some interbreeding between the Bush and Clinton descendants so the two dynasties are joined in later primary and presidential elections for both parties.
