A few weeks ago, preview versions of Microsoft Office products for 2016 were released. The release included Microsoft Office 2016 suite products, plus Project and Visio. All the products are available in desktop and office 365 formats for trials. We shared the links to download/install preview of Microsoft Office and Project 2016 in this post a while ago. Since then, I wanted to write my first hand review of Project 2016, so here it goes. INSTALLATION OF PROJECT 2016 First things first, installation challenges. Prior to installing Microsoft Project 2016 (this is the same for Office 2016) you will need to uninstall the 2013 version of the same product, as they can't both be installed at the same time. It's easy to uninstall and then reinstall a new version, right? Not really. Unfortunately, this isn't as simple as it sounds particularly if you have ever had Microsoft Project 2013 office 365 version installed on your machine along with Project 2013 desktop version. At least in my case, I have tried every possible way of removing 2013 version, but Microsoft Project 2016 kept crashing soon after it started. Here, and may be few other places, described a solution to an issue but it never worked for me and eventually I end up installing to a fresh VM that has no traces of prior version.

We choose Yammer to be our second social network because it's would be huge to allow employees to be updated while they can focus on what they are working on" says Roberto Gluck, CEO of The Social Radio. The main goal is to allow users to experience Yammer, and stay updated on their feed, while they are working on something else. The app is available in 6 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and German with male and female voices. Currently, the Yammer integration is only available on the web, but support for mobile apps is coming soon.

What is Microsoft Visio used for? Diagrams. That's what Microsoft Visio does, and it does it better than any other app I've seen yet. From flow charts to floor plans, there isn't much it can't handle. Now, being honest, I didn't know much about Visio until recently. But that changed when I decided to take it for a test drive - right out of the latest Microsoft Office. It offers a wide variety of built-in shapes, objects, and stencils to work with. You can also make your own shapes and import them if you're willing to do all that extra work. Today I am going to talk about Microsoft sway in Office 365. Sway is a presentation program and its part of Microsoft since from August 2015. Sway allows users who have a Microsoft account those can combine text and media to create a presentable website, it is very easy to do this. We can copy or open the information from local system and make use for social sites and others. Sway is online and browser based where PowerPoint is primarily as a desktop with Office 365 we can get some limited features.

If you've got a really killer PowerPoint presentation but would like to extract all the information to Microsoft Word - you can. Sometimes this is necessary because the size of your PowerPoint presentation is rather large and you would like to share it with others over email or an intranet. Converting it to Word will help reduce the size and make it easier to view for everyone involved. It's also possible that you would like your slides presented as thumbnails, with or without speaker notes included, for easier reviewing, editing, or handing out during the presentation itself. As announced earlier today, over the next few days we are releasing an update to Microsoft account. For people who use Outlook.com, this includes a number of new features such as two-step verification, the ability to sign in with an alias and new international domains for your email address. OPTIONAL TWO-STEP VERIFICATION HELPS KEEP YOU MORE SECURE You can now choose to enable two-step verification for your entire account. Two-step verification is when we ask you for two pieces of information when you sign in to your account-your password plus a code sent to a phone or email that you gave us as security info. Many of you have asked for this and we're delighted to be able to offer this capability. Two-step verification is a great way to add extra protection to your account. Once you've enabled two-step verification, even if a criminal gets your password (for example, through malware on a friend's machine that you used, or if you use the same password for another service that gets breached) they can't access your account.
