Silicone and PTFE fabrics have excellent chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, moisture resistance and heat resistance. Silicone is a rubber-like abrasion-resistant coating that is gray or red in color. Silicone fabrics have better UV resistance, water resistance and abrasion resistance than PTFE fabrics. PTFE fabrics is a smooth, non-reactive coating commonly known as Teflon®. PEFE fabrics are ideal for applications requiring increased toughness and chemical resistance. Silicone fabrics can withstand operating temperatures of 500°F (260°C) and PTFE fabrics can withstand operating temperatures of 680°F (360°C). Aokai silicone and PTFE fabrics are coated with fiberglass cloth based high temperature coatings. PTFE Fiberglass fabrics can withstand temperatures up to 1000°F (540°C) even if the silicone or PTFE coating is burnt. Based on the above characteristics, Aokai silicone and PTFE fabrics have been used in aerospace, food processing, packaging and printing, machinery manufacturing, mold manufacturing, electronic communications and many other industries.
