This revised edition includes five new studies (Colorado 2012, Kansas 2012, New Jersey 2011, New York 2012, and Pennsylvania 2012). However, the Delaware, New Jersey, and New York studies are continuations of research cited in the first edition. Using smaller samplings of surveys or focus groups, these studies drill down into particular aspects of school library programs, such as what quality programs look like, what effective school librarians do and their dispositions. They also seek to learn what stakeholders-teachers, school administrators, librarians, students, and parents-value and think about the relationship between school library programs and student academic success.

Factitious is a game that is designed to help students practice identifying real and fake news stories. It has been around fro a little while but the 2020 version of the game features stories about COVID-19.

This visual encyclopedia is created by the publisher DK. It is new, so somewhat limited but they have plans to grow. I see it as useful for younger students, ESL students and special education students. The site is easy to use and has clear categories. It also offers other sections: What's New?. Videos. Quizzes. Fun Facts. Galleries. Another section called My Space will also be added. Teachers may create an account and access a lesson planner. The DK Online World Desk Reference may also be of interest. You need to create an account to use it which takes seconds to do. This site "explores topics in physical and human geography for every country in the world, and practices critical-thinking skills

The Book Review has occasionally in the past, asked young authors about their biggest influences. For their 125th anniversary, they put the question to a new generation. A simple challenge was put to a group of writers under 40: Name the writer or writers who have most influenced your work and explain how. In the past, many of the US-based "authors contacted were just beginning their careers and they later became some of the most widely read and respected artists of their generation."
