Super Maths World is good resource offering differentiated math practice. The activities offered on Super Maths World are suitable for students in primary and high school. The progress tracker is a good way for self-directed learners to measure their progress. The progress tracker and scores could also be used by teachers as a means of measuring a student's development. Worth a look!

Seven great websites for math video tutorials...great for visual learners!

A great collection of Cybersafety resources as presented at the Wollongong Diocese Cybersafety Forum last week.

If you want your students to use the internet for research, but find that sites such as Wikipedia can overwhelm students and contain too much information - then you might like to take a look at the Simple English Wikipedia. The Simple English Wikipedia uses simple English words and grammar to explain topics.  There are 70,000 articles on the site, a fraction of the 3 million articles that are on the main wikipedia page, but enough for most students. Check before you send kids towards the site that it contains the topics you want them to research. If it doesn't you could always create a page and add the information yourself - or make it a goal for the research project to write a page!

A great video to introduce K-2 to certain aspects of Internet Safety. The video makes some comparisons between the real world, and the online world, and at the end sets some rules to follow. Worth a look.

This is a great applications for downloading multiple creative commons images from flickr at once. It is an Adobe Air application that you download and install on your computer, you then search for a tag, and it allows you to select up to 50 photos to download to your desktop. Would be really useful for primary and infants classes. It saves you time as you do not need to download each image individually. 

Here is a great review of a new PBS website which allows you to create a habitat based on the needs to a fictional  character. Once the students have finished creating the habitat, they could download it as a JPEG. Has some great tips on ways it could be useful in the classroom, too!

A great selection of powerpoint presentations for teaching literature. Also included are interactive games for English eg Grammar. Also included are the six comprehension strategies with many different teaching ideas.

A fantastic collection of web-based math resources. Has a mini review for each site. 

A great tool for creating photo collages online - lets you download/email them for printing!
