This blog post showed up in my Google Reader. It is about QR codes, the ones that you can get an app for your phone and scan bar codes and it will give you information. I have only thought of this being used with food at the grocery store and it never occurred to me that they could be used as Assistive Technology!

I haven't actually played around with an Ipad before, so I'm not sure of it's capabilities. One thing I found interesting about the Tap It, that the Ipad probably couldn't offer is that if a child leans on the screen with their hand or arm, the screen recognizes it as a lean, and it only recognizes the tap. I would like to compare the Ipad and the Tap It though.

This does look similar to an Ipad, but it does seem that this may be more helpful for a student because of the size of the screen.
