Students apply these to identify and examine several examples of simple and complex genetic traits in several characters in Harry Potter. Students also examine inheritance patterns of magical ability in Harry Potter, and use the concepts they have learned to identify possible genotypes of the magical ability demonstrated by several characters in the series.
This site is really interesting because it is a blogging website that is maintained through a high school teacher and her students. There is also a contact email if teachers were interested in getting permission to allow their students to blog about anything biology related. This would be a great way to incorporate technology into the classroom while allowing students to learn from videos, podcasts, and articles created by other students from around the United States.

This a great resource that provides science articles for students to read. Also, they are also updated articles that stay up to date with "what's new" in biology.
An upper level textbook supplemental website, but great for giving background information and cross-curriculum lessons for introducing the Renaissance era and literary pieces.
