This would be a good resource to introduce to your AP students or to students that are thinking about taking AP classes. This website has many resources for students including videos and blogs by students that have enrolled and completed AP courses in high school that explain what it takes to be successful in an AP class and on the AP exam. There is also links that help a student understand how AP courses in high school can help with college and what college majors and careers can AP courses help the student with. There is a link for practice questions for all AP courses, including multiple choice and free response, at the bottom of the page. 

This site is really interesting because it is a blogging website that is maintained through a high school teacher and her students. There is also a contact email if teachers were interested in getting permission to allow their students to blog about anything biology related. This would be a great way to incorporate technology into the classroom while allowing students to learn from videos, podcasts, and articles created by other students from around the United States.

CNN Student News is a simplified version of the biggest current news stories for students. Not only does it keep the attention of a high school student, but it is extremely relevant information. This is my favorite website!

Students review and become familiar with basic genetic concepts and terms, such as DNA, chromosome, gene, allele, homozygous, heterozygous, recessive and dominant genes, genotype, phenotype, complex traits, Medelian inheritance, and Punnett Square. Students apply these to identify and examine several examples of simple and complex genetic traits in several characters in Harry Potter. Students also examine inheritance patterns of magical ability in Harry Potter, and use the concepts they have learned to identify possible genotypes of the magical ability demonstrated by several characters in the series.

Similar to glogs or prezzis, wikispaces provide a digial place for students to synthesize, express and design their knowledge into a fun and free product. This is the tool that our students at Isaac Bear used when they delivered their digital reflections

Blew my mind.. this is genius as far as getting high school students interested in some ofthe more boring subjects of school. This site has previously created fake profiles but also allows the creation of new ones. Totally for educational purposes and totally awesome! CHECK IT!

"Fakebook" allows teachers/students to create fake facebooks. I've seen this used and have used it in the classroom myself, Fakebook could be useful for all subjects, as it allows students to create a virtual facebook for anyone (characters from a novel, people from history, etc.)

The National Human Genome Research institute created this talking glossary of genetic terms to help students learn how to pronunciate key terms. In addition to each term, there are specialists and modern scientists that share their descriptions and experiences related to the term. There are also additonal links to direct further study for students.

This website has several worksheets that could be used in a Mathematics classroom. There are numerous categories of worksheets, along with multiple forms of the same type of worksheet. This could be useful if you wanted to give different forms of worksheets out to the students or if a student needed more review on the topic, you could easily pull up another worksheet for practice. 

Great for students being able to recreate a scene or aid visual aids to reading. Easy enough for me to navigate, so students will have no trouble. They can even add characters and write dialogue for more interactive productions.

All teachers and students can benefit from this website. This site takes all topics, complex or simple, and places them in condensed terms and information that students can use as: introductory resources, supporting information, or personal help.

Website to create polls for your students. Can be used as a warm up or during a lesson. Great way to get students to use their phones for instruction.

This lesson helps students determine the impacts that occur when changing certain parameters when graphing. The students must use their graphing calculator to complete the activity. 

This is another website that includes interactive lesson plans for all subject areas. I took a look at the math lesson plans, and there seems to be several that looked enjoyable for the students. The interactive links state the discipline that it is used for and the audience it is meant for. Several are for the teacher to view, but there are also ones that the student can access and complete. 

This is a strategy site for helping new or struggling readers. It is targeted for elementary age students but the strategies can be adapted for secondary students.

This is a free site teachers and students can use to make blogs. This is a good way for students to keep journals and to check a teacher's blog for help or advice or a calendar.

This is perhaps one of the most difficult topics for students to first grasp in chemistry. By using more resources and seeing it in a variety of ways, students will be able to understand the concept better

This is another difficult topic in chemistry. Most students aren't able to think conceptually, which is what this topic is, but this website breaks it into almost a pattern that helps students understand it better

Where do I start, they have link to websites for students and teachers that create discussion forums, making quizzes and polls, designing of slideshows and presentations with a plethera of websites one might now be able to find otherwise. Designing word art and also link to games that are educational as well as fun for students.

This website gives examples of MLA7 Format as well as guidlines and rules. It will be a good tool to show my students when teaching MLA Format as well as a helpful tool for myself when grading papers. I will use this website to grade and have my students
