teching Math with technology: Modules - 0 views

  •
The goal of this project is to develop curriculum materials for courses that prepare mathematics teachers for technology-equipped classrooms. Given the changing nature of technology, it is important that teachers develop a model of teaching and learning so that they are able to make informed decisions about the appropriate use of technology. Currently, materials for this type of course are not available commercially. This curriculum, available in the form of modules, provide opportunities for middle and secondary teachers to develop: 1) deeper conceptual understanding of school mathematics topics, 2) proficiency in using technology tools, 3) effective pedagogical techniques, and 4) abilities to analyze student thinking when using technology tools to solve mathematical tasks.
