is it posssible to use at least two of these on the robot, or is there not enough ports on the nxt
    • Thomas Helm

im very sure that you can use more than one sensor but ill see if i an find something on it now
  • The Touch Sensor reacts to touch and release, enabling your LEGO® MINDSTORMS® NXT robotic creation to "feel" like never before! It can detect single or multiple button presses, and reports back to the NXT Intelligent Brick

Downloads | LabVIEW NXT Module (LEGACY) | Code - 1 views

  •
many sample codes for different reasons
  •
they are good codes because we can use them to help the robot carry out specific functions. also they are much simpler than the long codes that we have to make so in the long run these codes will make it easier and it will save us time

HowStuffWorks "Roomba Navigation" | Diigo - 1 views

  •
When Roomba knocks into something, its bumper retracts, activating mechanical object sensors that tell Roomba it has encountered an obstacle. It then performs (and repeats) the sequential actions of backing up, rotating and moving forward until it finds a clear path.
  •
I like how this shows all the different types of sensors and where they are, and what path the roomba takes

touch sensor - 1 views

  •
this shows why using the tutch sensor is a good idea to detect walls
  •
it seems that the robot is using a sensor on top of itself. this can be helpful because it can detect cilffs faster but it will detect them too soon and turn away. therefore, it won't clean everything. in my opinion we should place the sesors in front and not on the top
