    Books read online to students.

Actors from the Screen Actors Guild reading stories for children a-loud. A helpful activity for ELL and all beginning learners so that they can hear English spoken using stories they will enjoy!

This site has actors reading stories, which is a wonderful model for building fluency and especially for experiencing prosody (expressive reading). I like it best because it has some of my childhood favorites like Harry, the Dirty Dog (read by Betty White!). There is also a good story for Black History month (White Socks Only).

This website has links to all of their children's television programs including Between the Lions and Sesame Street. It is easily navigated by children because everything is audio.

This a a great resource! Reading A-Z offers thousands of printable teacher materials to teach leveled reading, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, reading fluency, alphabet, and vocabulary. The material on the website does have a cost; however, it does offer free samples to look at.
